Half Nelson
Loved this movie. Thought it was brilliant and that Ryan Gosling definitely deserved that oscar nomination. I'll definitely add him to my favourite actors to watch for the future <3
I also thought that this movie was very touching and artist. Good if you study movies like myself.
A Beautiful Mind
One of my favourite movies of all time. Russel Crowe at his very best and a story that is almost disturbing, but I love it and can somewhat relate to it in a very disturbing way. Jennifer Connnelly proves that she deserved to win that oscar with quite a moving performance which perfectly intertwines with Crowe.
A good film to watch for sure.

Little Miss Sunshine - I can definitely say was the best movie I've ever seen. (Duane's first word was the best part) Maybe even better than Borat? But not better than Adventures in Babysitting which I saw for the bazillionth time this morning. Unfortunately, it was the cable version. So, my favourite part was cut out (atleast it was better than the crappy dubbing they would've done)

Black Sheep

Picture the scene.
A were-sheep is attacking the main character, he's trapped in the Pantry with a shotgun with no Shells.
He looks around, desperate for something to defend himself and sees some mint sauce...

I nearly wet myself laughing.

There is some gore, but it is the traditional gore of a horrody, Totally overblown and obviously so.
But I suggest you don't see it when schools out, I was the oldest person at the cinema, and me and my (Equally as deranged) friend were the only ones laughing half the time, as a gaggle of fifteen year old girls gagged at the "gore" (Haggis isn't THAT freaky...) and had the jokes fly right over there head.
And farmers + Sheep... Yes well, it went there, I picked the references up within minutes of the film starting, it's not until the last Fifteen / Twenty minutes that they picked it up.
And gagged.

Light weights.

"You're gonna turn into one of them!
"A Hippie?!"

Across the Universe.

It was a very professional movie in most parts; they actually hired people with great voices instead of people who are currently popular in the 'musical' scene (ISLY, Zac Efron..?). There was like a half hour of it where they went stupid with the special effects but the last half hour/hour was excellent.

I just saw Death Sentence. It's a strange movie, in the sense that it shows a realistic side of people getting revenge in the beginning, but every bit of realism is thrown out the window at the end. The theather we went to had breaks during movies, and this time it was quite convenient. It was like seeing two movies in one: a thrilling drama, and an action flick a la Rambo. I still liked both parts though.

an incredible movie that just hasn't had a good time but is well worth seeing. Some of the direction is just great, and my heart just really skipped when it came to most of the competition scenes since I could really relate to them. I especially love one scene when everyone is on the blocks ready to dive in and everything goes silent for the starting gun.
It reminded me so much of that moment when your head blocks out everything before a big race and all you listen for is that starting gun.

This movie made me cry so much, but then again I am an ex-swimmer who misses the sport terribly and refuses to go back and swim. It made me want to go and swim again so much, but I can't.

This movie really is fantastic, but it just didnt get all that much exposure that it needs. Shame.

Hair - Pretty good. I'm not all that for musicals, but I loved the story.

Children of Men - Wanted to see this one long before it came out, and I finally did. I absolutely loved it, but I wish it didn't stop where it did.

Beowulf

I am a HUGE fan of the book and I have read it multiple times. The movie was one of the worst I have seen this year. The animation sucked out the emotion from the characters, you couldn't even feel the fear when Grendel entered the mead hall. Also, the HUGE, and boy do I mean HUGE story change. I won't mention what it was, but I really disliked it.\

In short: If you have read the book, I'd imagine you would be disapointed as with all books turned into moives. If you haven't, well you'll enjoy it.

Enchanted

I liked it a lot. It was very sweet and fun. The acting was pretty good, much better than I expected. It was also amusing to see Disney make fun of themselves in several spots...overall, it was a very funny movie. :)

Spiderman 3: I actually saw this like a month ago I think. I thought I would hate it, but I didn't. It wasn't as good as the first two movies though and I can certainly see why some people hated it. There were too many things going on at once, and what the heck was up with the dance number?

Saw that as well this weekend - definitely worth watching! We laughed most of the way through it!

Hitman
I was very disappointed by this movie. I was expecting something much more like the game itself since I was a hard-core Hitman gamer, but the movie seemed to have no structure and they just didn't really fall through with the story.
For any other die-hard Hitman gamers, I would recommend NOT going to see this movie. If you are like my Dad and just want to see action and guns and all that and have never ever played the game, then you could go see this movie and possibly enjoy it.
I did like some of the scenes though. There were just some scenes that stayed true to the game and made me go "OMG! It looks like the game! *gasp*"
One last note. For anyone who is wary of Timothy Olyphant being Agent 47, dont be. He seemed very much like the game(well to me anyway) and he looked just like the game itself in many scenes and to me he was a pleasant surprise.

The Mist - Wow... bleak ending. I like it. But it makes me sad. Not like crying sad, just emotional sad.
