Whether he approves it or not, once someone other then Lucas writes and kills off major characters, I'm out.

My favorite will always be Episode IV simply because it's the one that started it all.

I have the original trilogy (not the special edition) on VHS and I got the latest DVD box set for Christmas. :)

The only thing that irritates me now about ROTJ is that they put in a new ghost. Instead of a kindly grandfather-like Anakin Skywalker, they put in someone who looks like Christensen.

But I like the Ewoks. I have a Wicket plushie on my shelf. :P
surprise surprise, it is him :P

Awwwwwww man! That doesn't even make sense since Ben and Yoda are still geezers (I'm assuming because they died that way). And Anakin died on the good side as a geezer.

I was all over those credits hoping to find a name because I thought he looked different enough not to be. Maybe it's the hair....
:P

You got the box set?! Then could you please take a gander at my article (found here at the Pink Ink, which is something everyone, that's right even you, should be reading) and tell me if you aggree with what I wrote. But I would just like to point out that I never realised that anakin had changed so I'll watch it tonight and see if I can spot it. And I think the past 2 movies have been OK, even if they haven't been up to the standards of the first 3. Maybe it's because they have old man Lucas (that actually sounds right! Thats his new name from now on) is directing it?

*chuckles*

Oh gosh I could go insane writing about Star Wars. I can't say I argue with you. My only criticism is that it's too short. I know that reviews are all about opinions but part of explaining your opinion is giving a reasonable explination for WHY you have that opinion. That will make articles longer, it will give some more depth to your opinion and it will just be more of an interesting read. :)

I admit I haven't been a big Pink Ink reader but looking over it makes me want to write a few Entertainment articles myself if I get to oppertunity. It sounds like fun. ^_^

It might be spelled differently, but I think in german father is spoken "Vah-Der".

Good old Star Wars, and those blind Storm Troopers who couldn't hit the broad side of a bus if you dropped it on them!

I don't want this thread to get locked.

Ziggy. What a needless post :) This topic is not going to get locked if people want to express a dislike, nay, even a loathing for the prequel films. That's up to them. If they want to say they think they're stupid, they are free too. It's a movie discussion board.
The topic will get locked if you start flaming eachother.

Cyanna, stop endorsing large quote towers. I expect better of you :P

Wed Jan 05, 2005 6:35 pm

Oh Igg, can't you see the fun in quote towers? :P

Wed Jan 05, 2005 6:40 pm

I'm not going to bash the prequils, or the originals, all I'm going to say is that I don't like all of them. The whole idea just doesn't appeal to me. >_<

I agree with Igg Quote towers = bad. :P

Seesh you just make ONE mistake. :P ;)

A pox be upon you.

You should meet my dad, he saw A New Hope when it came out (when he was a nipper) and he fell asleep after about 10 minutes.

*hints about Cyanna's coming demotion*

Yay. I tried watching the originals on ITV1 recently, but I didn't find any appeal at all to them. :/ ah well.

did anyone ever see the star wars clone wars series? it said it's necessairy information before watching ROTS...

seems odd...

also, in the star wars "empire of dreams" (bonus disc documentairy) it said George Lucas wanted the movie to have a lot of unknown actors. and in the first trilogy nobody really famous acts, while suddenly the prequels feature Samuel L Jackson (not trying to say that the prequels are bad, it just seems against Lucas' dream)

Tue Jan 11, 2005 5:49 pm

I've heard there a re going to be a lot of lightsaber battles in this one and all those little kids from movie 2 training under Yoda will be killed off by Anakin.

Tue Jan 11, 2005 6:07 pm

I read in a magazine that there is a strong possibility that ROTS could get a PG-13 rating.

We already know that it's not going to have a happy ending because it has to set the stage for Episode IV. And think of all those Jedi that the main character is most likely going to end up killing if Ben Kenobi's story from the original trilogy bears any significance. >_<

Not to mention that epic battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin that we have been waiting so long to see. :battar:

Even though we know what happens to Anakin as a result...

The problem is we all already know so much about what this film is SUPPOSED to be. At least the other two are so far back in time that things can be a little vague. But in this one, we already know so much about it thanks to the original trilogy and the novelizations (which do reveal more backstory then the movies do).

PG-13? alright :) *counts* that means i'm old enough to watch it!

anyway, i do believe it was a nice decision of George Lucas to do IV, V and VI before I, II and III

this can show you the story of Anakin, without telling too much about the *mysterious* ending xD

while when you'd organize a Movie Day and watch them as I, II, III, IV, V and VI, you'd see that Anakin and Luke experience the same things in their youth, which gives you an extra experience as you may predict the same faith anakin suffered could happen to luke (i don't know why, but if i've seen a movie already, i always imagine something to happen wrong, even though i know the movie has a happy end, like ancient greek people)

Well if it does perhaps it means there will be systematic jedi killing :)
