The documentary itself is extremely biased as he fasted for a while before starting this, causing the results to scew.

Of course, they don't tell you that in the documentary.

I refuse to watch it. Personally, I think anyone who needs to watch a movie to find out that eating every single thing off the McDonald's menu 3 times a day and supersizing the meal every time they ask is a bad thing...is a moron.

<STOWA|Sleep> my sister questioned the title. "Half Blooded Prince? Does that mean he's a Moogle"

I watched it. It was disgusting. In one scene he vomits and it shows the puke.

It's a decent film, but breaks no new ground.

It's not badly made or anything, it just doesn't tell me anything I did not know before I saw it- McDonald's is not good for me, particularly were I to eat it for every meal.

This documentary proves common sense. It's also inaccurate in that I don't believe McDonald's have ever marketed their food as something that should be eaten for every meal.

Really? I'll have to tell my mom that. She's always going on about how the only thing she will eat at a fast food place is a salad since it has less calories than fries or burgers.
She probably won't believe me though.

Knowing me, I'll eat McDonalds after watching it.

 I was eating a chicken wrap when I first saw it. :P

Heh, heh. Did you do that on purpose?

I don't think I'll ever be able to eat fast food after I see it, if I ever do. (Well, at least not for a month.)
How long was he on the "diet"?

the really scary thing was i had a sudden urge to go to McDonalds after seeing it.

I find Supersize Me! to be a rather sad money-making scheme. If you didn't know that eating fast food will make you gain weight and destroy parts of your body, then what planet were you living on? Also because of this movie and people complaining that it's McDonald's fault they're fat, my beautiful Supersize is gone. I have to spend more money to fill myself up, which I think is completely unfair considering I don't blame other people for my weight gain from fast food.

Obviously McDonalds food makes you fat. I'm fairly sure everyone knows that unless you're as dumb a brick, in which case it is probably more insulting to the brick to say that. I think what really left me surprised was the other side effects like the fact the guy was already showing signs of walking the short street to death after less than a month and the addicting qualities of the food. Also the extra on the DVD where he compared how the different foods decomposed over time kind of left me stunned. It shouldn't surprise me since I've eaten their french fries many times, but seeing it compared to the other kinds of fries sort of left me more sickened about it. McDonald's french fries don't really decompose. They more or less sort of fossilize or petrify in its own grease.

It's the dressings.
Salad dressings are killer unless you get the low fat ones. And actually theres a lot of really good lower fat ones now a days.

I don't think that the whole "McDonalds makes you fat" thing was entirely the problem. I think it was the health risks that were scary.

Well, duh, everyone knows it's unhealthy, but it's not stopping anyone from eating fast food all the time. People know it's bad, but they don't conciously admit it when they're making decisions. This film was meant to shock people into really evaluating the affects of unhealthy dietary decisions and it was effective.

Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

Couldnt have said it better myself. The fact that it was a very amusing film was nice too.

You can't conclusively prove that the film made people change their diets, though.
Perhaps with some people it did, but if the film alone did so then they're just as impressionable as people who buy things just because of the advert.
