The Spirit - This film was so irredeemably terrible that I actually walked out of it 20 minutes in. I NEVER DO THAT. My friends and I were appalled.

That's a real shame. I really wanted it to be good. :(

The Day The Earth Stood Still
Better than the 1951 original, just. A bit more glam and a lot more shiny. Reeves is suitably one-dimensional. Handy really.

Yes Man
Jim Carrey just can't say no. Quite fun in parts and genuinely entertaining throughout. No Bruce Almighty, however.

The Guardian- Many of my friends, and one of my cousins kept telling me just how great this movie was and how I must see it and on and on. Of course my friend that wants to go in the Coast Guard insisted that I needed to see it since it's related to what he wants to do. So, finally I watched the movie...and I thought it was GREAT. I would definately reccomned this.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2- It was just okay. The first one was way better. This one seemed to be kind of patched together, It didnt really flow well enough for me.

I liked it, but Jim Carrey is OLD. Too old for Zooey Deschanel.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

Absolutely loved it. Highly recommended. It is easy to see why this will be nominated for just about everything at the Oscars. Quite a long movie at two and a half hours, but just savour every last second of it. Pure cinematic gold.

I just saw a trailer for that- what the hell is it?! Why would you even consider going to see that? The trailers should have been a warning, Fidds. Poor you. :(

Slumdog Millionaire: What an amazing movie! I was completely swept away by the story, the acting, and the raw emotion. In fact, this movie just blew me away and if it isn't nominated for Best Picture of the Year at the Academy Awards, I'll be seriously peeved.

I still haven't seen this yet! My godparents, who were going to see it with me, ended up going yesterday without telling us beforehand. "Oh yeah, we'll come over for lunch, but we're going to leave early to go see Slumdog Millionaire!" :x

Have seen it today. It is good, but all Boyle movies (apart from Sunshine, of course) are pretty decent.

I have to be honest and say while it may get a nomination, I highly doubt it will actually get Best Picture.
There are a lot of brilliant, deserving films out there at the moment, and this isn't quite good enough to stand up with the likes of Frost/Nixon, Milk, Benjamin Button and Changeling. (my hopes, at present, for Best Picture noms)

Marley & Me: Wow, this movie was an emotional roller coaster! I loved the characters of both Jennifer Aniston and especially Owen Wilson! Marley, himself, is an adorable dog! I definitely recommend this movie to others!

Yeah, I doubt Changeling is going to receive a nomination. It was trashed by critics.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - I thought it was decent. A bit long for my taste, though that could be because I was tired. Not as good as the first movie though.

Burn After Reading - Not what I expected at all. I'm glad I didn't buy it. It was interesting, but I probably won't watch it again.

Benjamin Button - Very excellent movie. There were some places where I was just like *facepalm* "why is that in there?", but in the end, it was a very heartfelt movie.

Slumdog Millionaire - LOVED it, and I vote that more movies have the entire cast do a dance number during the end credits. Imagine Darth Vader doing a two-step with Jabba? It's seriously a great idea.

I saw Twilight. It was bad, but it wasn't bad enough for me to enjoy it (see: Starship Troopers 2)

The Usual Suspects - One of my all-time favorite movies. My boyfriend hadn't seen it so I made him watch it with me last night. I just love the last five minutes of the movie... It's by far the best part :)
