Heathers. I still love it.

I just watched The Exorscism of Emily Rose last night and I thought it was a good movie. I'm a horror movie lover so the scary ones don't bother me ;) actually I didn't find it scary at all. I wouldn't say the movie was spectacular, but I'd watch it again.

Herbie Fully Loaded: a nice disney film, it was funny. :)

Before that was The Island, it was a good movie with some really gross parts, reminded me a bit of the matrix.

The last movie you watched and what you thought of it(split)

Watched 3 tonight;
Four Brothers- good story, lots of action
Bewitched-Some funny parts, kinda slow though
King of the Lost World- low budget rip off of Lost with king kong, dragons, and giant insects thrown in.

Brothers Grimm on DVD

Watched it for the 2nd time and I still don't particularly like it. It just wasn't executed very well. Tim Burton would've done a spectacular job on it.

U-571. Fun, but worthless. It was like a messed up Return to Wolfenstein that takes place in a submarine and for some odd reason, everyone hesitates to shoot the mother of all evil Nazis that won't stay dead. Typical characters, typical storyline, typical propoganda.

On the airplane today, I watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Fantastic Four, both without sound since I was too lazy.

Charlie was surprisingly dark, which surprised me. The ending seems to have changed a bit too, and I was disappointed in that since the old movie also didn't stay very true to the book. Still, there were some neat visuals and occasional, although not enough, funny scenes. Then again, I didn't listen to the oompa loompa songs...

Fantastic Four wasn't so great either. Neat computer effects again, but the ending was so abrupt, even for me, a guy with low standards. They seem to be making room for a sequel. Please no.

The Colt.

Hm.. Very depressing. Surprise ending.

Seriously, very surprising ending. I was like.. what the heck? That doesn't happen in movies! Totally didn't see it coming.

Miracle.

Meh, found it rather boring and definitely overhyped. Honestly, I couldn't tell any of the players apart and therefore felt they lacked the depth I need to like a character and for that reason, the movie.

Troy.

Worse than I was expecting.

They pronounce Menelaus wrong (ooh, aren't you clever, using the classical latin pronunciation...great....IT'S A GREEK WORD!)

Achilles is in the wooden horse.

Patroclus is now Achilles' cousin. *eyeroll*

Menelaus and Agamemnon die. And don't get to go home. WHAT?

Where's Laocoon?

Why have you cut out the fact that this all happened because of the Gods?

Helen and Paris were apparently just having a little affair now. Helen wasn't moticated by the will of the Gods to go off with Paris, and she totally didn't get fed up with him later...

WHAT DID YOU DO TO AENEAS?!?!? *weeps*

Hector doesn't realise that it's Patroclus dressed as Achilles. Er, read the Homer, I think you'll find he knows, which is why he gloats so uncharacteristically.

And so on.

God I hate Hollywood.

A bunch of Bond films. They're oh so fun.

Sun Jan 15, 2006 2:30 am

Saw CryWolf at the cinema, Was... odd. o_O
But none-the-less good :D

Watched Dawn of the dead (The only decent bits removed for some reason  )

Land of the dead (still love that one)

The Crow# Somthing or another (Was good)

Star wars episodes 1-3 (Ignored most of 1 & 2)
And numerous other films i cant think of.

This was my biggest problem with it. You can't take out the gods from the story any more than you can take out Achillies. Otherwise, its just a 3 hour vehicle to show off Brad Pitt in a loin cloth. Also the fact that Agammemnon dies total cuts out the foundation of the Oresteia. Its poop and a half.

At least it was bad enough that we don't need to worry about them making a sequel for the Odyssey.

Right?

Right?

Final Fantasy XII: Advent Children.
Fantastic movie, can't say enough.

My Neighbor Totoro.

Theaters: Chronicles of Narnia.
I'd like to go see King Kong or Memoirs of a Geisha sometimes soon.
Or.. "the cowboy movie". That's all I'll say. (:
