*blink*

Ummm... What?

Fleur and Gabrelle Delacour are the only ones who look anything like I imagioned them.

Krum I imagioned as quite a bit more ugly, Karkaroff, more slimy, Madam Maxime, fatter and Cedric, ... younger...

Fleur doesn't look like what I pictured her at all to be. But, hopefully they can act.

The only one I pictured to be like who they are... Rita Skeeter

Mad Eye Moody... o_O What's all that about?

Heh heh heh. Rita Skeeter is the closest to a good character for me, but they got her hair colour wrong. She is supposed to be blonde.

And yeah, Mad Eye Moody.
WHATS WITH THE BANDS?! His eye is NOT held on by BANDS! Its like.. supposed to be a big eye.. I thought anyways. NOT SOME HUGE THING HELD ON BY FRIGGIN BANDS!
And his face doesn't even look right. It doesn't look like scars, it looks like a piece of crap makeup job. SCARS TURN WHITE THEY DON'T JUST MAKE HOLES!!
He'd make a fine Moody if they DID HIS MAKEUP RIGHT AND FIXED HIS FREAKIN EYE! Oh, and they need to hack off some of his nose. It says frequently about his nose not being intact.

I don't know why you're complaining, they've made three hopeless Harry Potter movies, and it's not like they are going to switch their methods :P

I'm not so fussed about Moody's eye - no doubt it relieves the burden of the computer animation department - but the aura I'm getting from him isn't so much "paranoid, battle-hardened veteran" as "kindly, addled eccentric." Shame, really, considering how cool it is that the guy who played Hamish is also playing Mad-Eye Moody. *points to av*

Yea, the movies aren't exactly like the books, but they do pretty freaking well. Be thankful for what you've got, because they could be so, so, so much worse. I've seen movies that've completely butchered the books they're adapted from. **cough**Queen Of The Damned, seriously no one should ever try to jam two long books into one short movie, and then totally change the plot to make it appeal to punk and goth teens that shop at Hot Topic**cough** Be glad the studio has actually allowed J.K. Rowling to have some say in things, be glad that Steven Kloves actually works with her when writing the screenplays. PoA may've been a little out there at times, but it could've been worse. There were a few things Alfonso Cauron wanted to put into the movie that J.K. Rowling had to completely put her foot down and veto. Be glad she actually has the power to do so.

Right, enough ranting. I imagine Mad-Eye Moody's eye was done that way because it was just easier. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for stuff like that, because trying to do it any other way would just be too expensive/too hard. It's not a major plot point, it's just an aesthetic thing.

I like this picture. They must be looking at the Beauxbatons, because all of the boys are like "OHMYGOD**drool**", and the girls are like "**eyeroll**Whatever".

I think all the males and females in that picture look particually...gormless? Especially the main 3.

I agree with Christopher XD.

Ew, I hate Harry and Ron's hair. *cannot stand mullets -.-"*

And I imagined Mad-Eye Moody a lot more thin, but maybe he's not suppoesd to be. The eye-patch thing doesn't really bother me, but it would be better if they did actually have it, I suppose.

The only ones which I imagined close to the people who are acting them out are maybe Rita Skeeter. That's about it. I imagined Fleur taller and prettier (ok, she's pretty, but not too pretty, and she looks too young), Krum uglier and not as bulky, and Cedric with SHORTER HAIR!!

Ugh, Cedric's supposed to be handsome. (sorry, I can't stand long hair on guys)

Mon Aug 22, 2005 6:42 pm

THEY'RE ALL UGLY. ALL OF THEM. ;~;

Am I the only one who thinks that Fleur looks like the kid who played Charlie in the first Willy Wonka movie? XD

Mon Aug 22, 2005 9:56 pm

Oh dear. Fleur doesn't exactly look like she has any Veela in her at all, I mean she's not plain but she's not omgamazinglygorgeous either. Same for Cho, I was expecting someone taller for some reason. Cedric looks weak, really really weak. He looks younger than Harry Potter for starters. I'm certainly not going weak at the knees. I'm glad they made Krum less ugly though, Hermione can crush Ron's feelings all the more (deservingly so, ha). Crouch is not what I was expecting but a really good choice, that actor will pull Crouch's character off really well I expect =) Same goes for Rita Skeeter - fantastic choice!

Moody is, well... his eye =( But if the actor is good I'll let him off. Sirius and Lupin weren't what I pictured them as either but they did excellent jobs.

All of this though I can live with, really it's fine. But the one thing I can't take, the one thing that spoils everything... the Weasley hairdos  I like red hair, many guys who have red hair like their red hair - but very few of them would grow it long if you paid them a million squid because it makes you look like a pleb. And although Ron is a pleb the Weasley twins are meant to be cool blokes :/ *gauges eyes out with spoon* Tragic.

You're right, Bill's the only Weasley who has long hair.

But knowing the moviemakers he'll be bald or something. :P

Hah.. That is a good mental picture. :P

Things I hate about the movie from just reading a few things, and seeing the movie pics..

1) What the heck is up with all of the boys growing their hair uber long? I mean, it's not just that I don't ALREADY have a problem with Harry in the movies.. HIS HAIR IS BLACK. BLAAAACK. NOT BROWN, BLOND, BLUE, OR BALD! BLACK!
Why did all of the Weasley males seem to have grown their hair shoulder length?
2) Mad-eye just looks wrong.

Krum.. He doesn't look very much like I imagined him.
Neither does Cedric. I'm saddened by that. He's probably my favourite character that will only be in one movie..

.. I'll just be hoping that they aren't all wearing muggle clothes all across Hogwarts. :P ::coughsPoAcoughs::

I'm waiting to see a piccy of Voldie.. Then I'll really start to complain if he's not up to my expectations. :P

I agree with everything you just said!! All their hair is long and it just annoys me! =P.

And about Voldemort, I think I saw a picture of him where he appeared quite good looking, but maybe it's just me (or the picture that I saw, for that matter). Voldemort's supposed to be... inhuman looking!

Ralph Fiennes is an excellent actor, I can't wait to see him as Voldemort. Though so far there've been no photos released of him in costume as Voldemort, just picture him more snakelike and scary:
