Being drunk and out of your face on prescription drugs will probably make anyone loopy.

Were there any Others named John / James at a wild swing?
My best guess would be someone who Kate did know but has fallen out with.
Sawyer is an obvious one (Presumably going by another name by now, if not his real one) or even her mother (... Wasn't she called Joyce, or did I just make that up?

Mary. Her name was Mary.

I think that Charlie didn't leave the room because it locks from the inside? If he hadn't pushed the locks into place than the door would probably not have been able to stay shut due to the force of the water.

Exactly. That is the basic conflict of submarine and space craft hatch design. If the doors close the other way, they are easier to shut, but almost impossible to seal. Hatches like the one Charlie sealed closes the way is does because if there was decompression of the room, the water would heal seal the door better. Otherwise, the door would been ripped off its hinges and Desmond might have been killed as well.

He could have still pulled it shut from the outside, right?

You have to keep in mind that Charlie was on the forced closed side of the hatch when the tons of water was rushing into the room. The water pressure from outside the station would have filled the room forced the door closed in a quick enough manner to make Charlie's escape less and less likely with each passing second. Plus Charlie had to be the hero and get that one last message from Penny at the last moment. If he didn't play hero, the his chances would have been better too. Lastly, if you want to tell a good story on television, having your scuzzy, ex-addict character give his life in the course of saving his friends makes for good drama.

I thought the reason was because if he didn't do things the way they are in Desmonds visions than the future may not happen the way it was seen. He was afraid that if he didn't die in that room then Claire would not be rescued.

That's kind of the way I took it. Once he knew Desmond saw him dying in that room, and once it started flooding, he gave in to the prediction. He might have had a chance to get out if he tried, but he assumed the prediction must be true, and didn't even realize he probably could have escaped.

couldn't have charlie just swam out the window in room there? but then again i do agree maybe charlie had just come to terms with desmonds visions and knew that he just had to die. I was still confused about the flash into the future. Who died?! The person that jack went to the funeral, who's funeral was it?
I think who kate was talking about when she said that 'he will be waiting for me' was sawyer, just under a different name or something. I still am confused about the season ending and cant wait until the next one!

I better see a will-o-wisp from hell, or I'll be severely annoyed!

Oh who am I kidding, I've not cared about the characters since like second season, but I continue to watch.
Stupid Lost.

hahaha lol asaloth i agree...it seems that they keep dragging the stories out, but hopefully the new season should play some things up since they have flash forwards aswell as the normal flash backs.
Lets just wait and see what happens in the up and coming season then......

The "Oceanic 6:" My predictions

We already know...
Kate
Jack
Hurley

We know Claire is rescued, and I assume Aaron goes with her, so there's only one left. Hmm... perhaps Sun and Jin aren't leaving the island?

I'm not quite sure if Aaron would count, as he wasn't one of the original survivors of the crash...? I'm going to go ahead and say Sayid will also make it out, due to the Nadia sub-plot.

I don't know about anyone else, but the latest episode totally hurt my brain. I was watching it at 1am or something (had just downloaded) - was way too tired for it!

LOST seriously needs a disclaimer reminding people it'll screw with your brain.
