Mr. Bennett may have acted surprised with the video because it is one thing to know about something by hearing it; and another thing to actually see it. Just by being told something is true doesn't make it true... seeing is believing.

True, but remember this past episode Claire cut her hand on the glass and later that night when she unwrapped it it was perfectly healed, and HRG was surprised that Chandra was right.

Princess Miyu wrote:What about Gaberiel's watch.. can it hold some significance in the future.. he seems to be extracting that part of the brain which wields the power; I don't think he eats it.. I had a short thought of him performing surgery on himself and attaching the brain part to his own brain.. but I doubt that is what is happening.

Well, people are theorizing that Sylar can tell when watches are broken (like Chandra's watch), and he realized that the telekinesis guy was "broken", so he attempted to fix him by taking his brain/power.

I know all the talk is of Gabe and Mr B right now, but I have a question (or two)... Who really is Linderman and how come he is seemingly connected to many characters?

Connections:
Nik/Jes - Loaned her $$, she stole $$ from him, she possibly tried to kill him at the poker game?
Nate - 'Enemy' of his father?, target of his criminal investigation, political contributor
DL - Target of a robbery that was done by Jes
Hiro - Possible connection to the poker game?
Others?

Issac - buyer of paintings.

Just a little thought that popped into my head while reading all the posts. Sylar is able to notice when things need fixed and he is able to fix them, does this not have similarities with Micah's power?

Sure there was a big sign on the phone saying the phone was out of order, but he has always been seen as fixing things inside his house, whether it be a tv, or tinkering with the innards of a laptop.

Dunno if it's relevant, just thought I'd throw it in to the mix :)

I just ran across this. There will definately be a death of a Hero... apparently they ran into contract issues and are going to be killed off about 6 episodes earlier than their intended death. A death and a sacrifice.

Wow, that's interesting... According to this article, it is definitely going to be a main character. I'm betting it's Nathan, because she says "The storyline of this insta-ousted character got a wee bit of a jump-start, if you will, so buckle up and hold on to your couch cushions, 'cause things are whipping into fast-foward."

And also, the Haitian is most likely taking the Bennett family hostage.

Wow, you guys are really thinking on your feet now!

I liked the fact that this particular episode explained a lot. I found it a little boring, as if the only reason I was fully allert during the show was so I didn't miss any of the facts! Man, this is a very well thought out story/script!

The ONLY thing I find hokey now, is how hiro can do all these things extremely fast, because he can stop time, do something, and then start time.... but like when he told Charlie about the 1,000 paper cranes. I thought that was a little rediculous. So he stopped time, ran down the streeth to a paper store, sat down, and folded up *1000* paper cranes, and then found string somewhere, and tied them to the cranes, and then hung them from the ceiling, and THEN started time back up? Thats.... riddiculous. I'd just be like.... "Watch. This is an empty glass. Now... it is FULL OF MILK! Now... name a food. Cheesburger, done rare? Chazam! I just grilled a hamberger while time was stopped. Tah dahhh".

I wouldnt fold 1000 frickin paper cranes.

Nor would I run down the street to get some flowers.

susannahmio wrote:And I am convinced that Mikah has a healing ability. In the preview, we see him kneeled over DL. He can't die so Mikah must heal him.

Yup, im assuming that this is out chance to see more evidence that Mikah can heal people/things. Obviously Jessica goes bonkers and shoots DL, and Mika's right there with him, its a perfect opportunity for DL to NOT die.... and it just lets people wonder and guess about who's going to die in the next episode. Surprise! It's NOT DL, mikah healed him! It will be somebody else totally unexpected.
I'm HOPING its Nathan Petrelli, because he's a wiener, it'd be nice for the plot, and he's not had anything really *important* yet except that he's Peter's older, more successful brother. Plus, if it truly is about contract matters, he's a likely candidate.

Otherwise, the only other death I would TOTALLY NOT see coming would be Matt... the police guy. I mean, so far, he hasn't really had any huge part in the whole way things are working together are the stories are corresponding. It would be exciting if he were the one who died... also another likely person due to contract matters. Hmmmmm.

susannahmio wrote:Still no explanation as to what Sylar does with the brains. Does he eat them?

He.. absorbs the powers SOMEhow. Obviously, there was a reason why 2 minutes of the show consisted of that whole story about "Everything your body does runs off of the brain. And thus, if you have a spirit, it's in the brain..." That obvioulsy has something to do with it, or that wouldnt have been written into the script. Eating them? Perhaps. But that seems a little extreme. Yeah, he's evil, but eating brains isnt.... evil, its just... gross, wierd, a little psychotic. But now we have an explination for the whole brain thing at least.... so maybe he DOES have more powers that telekenisis... he actually CAN steal powers. Or MAYBEee... he only stole that one power, he has learned how to harness it, aaand has tried killing the other heroes for their powers, but it hasnt worked yet? Who knows...

And as for the hero that will die, I'm thinking it'll be either Eden or Ted. I say Ted because he's literally a walking bomb, next week is the season finale, and the name of the episode is "Fallout", probably as in nuclear fallout. If not him, maybe Eden.

I still don't think Eden is even a hero. She has no powers except that she "might" be able to hypntoise people with their eyes, but they haven't shown us any real proof, and they havent tried real hard to get the viewers thinking about that. Only people like us who try to get AHEAD of the story start thinking of things like that.

As for Ted, I don't think it will be him, because he's still pretty new to the show. He's not a walking time bomb, hes just mentally unstable, but we are slowly witnessing him turning into a hero. Eventually he will be one of the good guys, but for now, he's still figuring things out. Also, Matthew John Armstrong, the guy who plays Ted, is unlikely to have any contract problems. This is just what he's into.... dramas on CBS and NBC. I doubt hed have contract problems that would cause the script to rush him out of their faster. UNLESS they WANT us to think that we are going to learn more about him, but he dies before we ever really get to see him turn good, which will all leave us shocked and crying.... now THATS good writing! But unlikely, I think....

Some people have also theorized that HRG has a power, and the power lies within his glasses. In last night's episode, when he had captured Eden, when he took his glasses off the Haitian flinched, as if to protect HRG from Eden's power of persuasion.

And who said DL can't die?

Now THATS a good theory.... I havent heard that one yet! Good thinking!
I really dont think HRG actually has superpowers, because I think right now he is worried about protecting his daughter, and he has become very obsessed with learning more about this study. But I do think there's a chance something might be in his glasses... or perhaps HRG is just able to see right through eden's powers because he knows they exist. HMmmmmmmm....

My guesses for next week?
The hero that will die: Matt.
The hero that will be sacrificed: Peter Petrelli.

Since there is still no movement on the Linderman connections...

Jes/Nik - Could Jes have the power to posses people in someway (think Spock in ST III) and was stuck in Nik when she died? o_O (Hopefully not since that sounds stupid)

TWW - I said Hiro was the most broken character since day one. At least now, it is finally being proven. I like that he was drained and couldn't use his powers after using them so much in the past. I hope more characters have limits like that.

Actually, her eyes have nothing to do with it. Remember, when she was talking to HRG her voice went kinda funny, almost like she was possessed. She was trying to persuade him to let her go because that's her power, but because either the Haitian was blocking her or his glasses were it didn't work. And also, she persuaded Matt to eat the doughnuts, and she persuaded Isaac to take the heroin.

And I don't think Peter is going to be sacrificed or killed off, he's too loved by the fans for them to do that. Another theory people are saying is that Peter will go into a coma trying to contain/absorb someone's power (possibly Ted).

Oh, and Sky, it's really hard to discuss Linderman because he's such a shady character now. But I think discussion on him will pick up now that Sylar has sort of been revealed.

I'm not quite sure on this point.. Why is the Haitian working for Mr. Bennett?

Princess Miyu wrote:I'm not quite sure on this point.. Why is the Haitian working for Mr. Bennett?

That's the question now isn't it? I'm thinking it might have to do with Mr. Bennett's promise that he would help them hone in their powers. Also, maybe his glasses do help him channel his power that controls the Haitian.

Apparently the Haitian is going to take the Bennett family hostage.

Thu Nov 30, 2006 7:42 am

I don't know if anyone has come across this yet.. I guess George Takei is going to play Hiro's dad. Supposedly there will be a new hero.. Christopher Eccleston..in the Jan 22 episode. That this new hero which appears in this episode has been around and aware (maybe in control) of his powers a lot longer than everyone else. Apparently his power is one which has not yet been seen on the show.

Thu Nov 30, 2006 8:03 pm

About the Haitian taking HRG hostage...that would be interesting, what if he is already his hostage and he is using HRG to get other heroes. Maybe he is the mastermind all along.

About who will be killed. The article says this person will be killed off 6 episodes earlier than intended, meaning they were intending to kill this person all along. I have read in a few places over the past weeks that HRG is a guest star, as is Eden. If you look at Heroes website Here there are only 10 "real" cast members. I highly doubt it would be any of them as NBC would not have signed contracts with them knowing they have conflicts. My moneys on a "guest star"

*Dies* I think Christopher Eccleston's fab... wonder if he'll play as an American or an Englishman.

So far, I think my favourite two characters are Peter and Hiro. Peter's just a nice guy, trying to do something worthwhile with his life. Hiro is so unassuming, he's just such a nice character. He's a proper nice guy.

Oh, just a little point, Hiro from the future said that Peter was going to have a scar... wonder how that's gonna happen. Hopefully since he's supposed to be around in the future, he won't get killed off. *crosses fingers*

Oh yeah, weezel, the flowers and the 1000 paper cranes were romantic. I think that was more the point - as a sign that the two of them were going to fall in love.

Spoilers for Christopher Eccleston
He has the power of invisibility, he become the "mentor" of Peter to help him with his powers, and as all mentors in shows and movies, he'll probably die along the way for some noble action or such
