i think this may be my favorite show right now. there's just something so beautiful about it. archie, representing these horrible, outdated ideas, and you can see him slowly being phased out--still tolerated, but definitely getting too old. taken in context, it's just brilliant.
and edith--i just love edith. i love it that archie is thoroughly convinced that he's the head of the household, but if you just watch carefully, you see that edith runs the show.
it's so wonderful when she makes this known to archie every now and then.

that's when edith won a permanent place in my "most awesome characters evar" list.
