Yep there's gonna be a sequl to The Ring. I'm not sure how it will turn out. In the last movie I saw no signs of the little girl coming back so I'm not sure. I hope they still use Naomi Watts (sp?) she is a great actress and I'm not sure but did she die in the last movie?
Anyway I haven't heard much about I just saw a advetisement for it at a movie theature. What your opinion?

Oh God. Not another sequel. Honestly, these days scary movies have no plot. They only throw in a psycho killer and show scary little girls running around saying, "7 days,".

They should stop making crappy sequels and focus on more frightening plots. Like "White Noise".

From what I've heard from reviews white noise is as scary as "a jack-o-latern in broad daylight" To be honest, I haven't found a "scary movie" yet that scared me. I found the ring to be pretty funny and especially when the horse died and I tend to heckle every movie I see and scary movies are very easy to heckle.

Like most people, I don't get a great vibe from sequels. It's hard to do another movie with as much symbolism and depth as the original had. I had to watch it more than once to get everything. I just hope it doesn't blow complete chunks.

feh...I'm not gonna see it... The Ring scared me the first time, after that it was stupid...and no, Rachel (Naomi Watts) didn't die. I"ve also heard it'll be a prequel, so she may not be in it.... Now, Daveigh Chase (Samara) is a cute little actress :)

Odd fact is that the original script of the American remake was going to have a subplot involving an escaped convict (murderer) :P

I'm not anticipating the sequel as much as I did the original. One factor is it's not remaking the sequel to the Japanese movie or the original novel sequel (Rasen/Spiral ) -- it's going off into another direction that seems somewhat streching the property.

Considering there were 3 ring movies in the Japanse (Ring, Ring 2, Ring 0) I was expecting a sequel sooner or later. It would be nice if it was a remake of the Japanese one but those dang crazy foo's will do their best to trash it :P

Its probably gonna have a bunch of special effects and junk like that. If they don't use Naomi Watts It's gonna be a pretty crappy movie. Honestly why don't they just end it that Rachel doesn't die and the little girl is gone!
Also alomst everyone died in the first movie so there gonna have to get a whole new cast.

What they said....

The japanese version has a ton of im... tv version movie version.... videogame version pc version.. hah.. kidding :P ... i hope....

But anywho... I'll see it. If it's not that good... Meh.... it won't be the first movie I wasted money on and it won't be the last.

Now the movie I REALLY want to see is Dark Water (which is another remake of a japanese movie.. same guy who wrote ringu or something)....

I've read the books, I own the mangas and let me tell you. If they mess up this sequal I will thouroughly upset! I'm a big fan of the Ring, but the American movie doesn't even come close to the excitement, symbolism and plot of the original book. Did you know that Samara (Sadako) was actually a hermprodite? Of course they'd never put that in the movie. I'll stick to my books. ;) But I'll most likely get all hyper and excited when it comes out and see it anyway.

The commercial said that Naomi Watts was in it... thought I would give at least that peace of mind.

A hermaphrodite is a person having the reproductive organs and many of the secondary sex characteristics of both sexes.

You may remember this word in its previous form, "HeShe".
