*blinks and stares* I thought they were the same thing. What's the difference?

(He who fights with monsters should see to it that he himself does not become a monster). And when you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.

I like both Star Wars and Star Trek, but since I'm a bigger fan of fantasy, I'd have to say Star Wars.

Also, I gave my husband the Star Wars Monopoly game for one of our anniversaries and we have long monopoly parties all the time. ;) lol

I can safely say I'm not a big fan of either ... and I don't think either is better than the other.

I perfer Star Trek. I only found the first two released (not chronolgical order) Star Wars movies to be entertaining, and only the most recent Star Trek movie and TV show dissappointed me.

Star Trek Voyager... tis my favorite.
However I am strangely drawn towards the most recently made Star Wars movie. (Ya know the one, with Hayden Christiansen... or however his name is spelt... and the yoda fight scene). I just like the graphics. Could care less about the plot.

star trek is older than star wars, has more interesting aliens (oh look wookies, how exiting....mmmmmm The borg) and doesnt have some stinkin great moon sized battle station that is Teh WInoRR!!!"!11
beside the worst thing that ever happened to star wars was lucas doing episodes 1-3, i simply refuse to believe all that tish was in the original book.

Erm... I think that both are just okay. The bits I have seen of Star Wars is good, and so are the bits I've seen from Star Trek. My brother though... when he was younger he was such a trekkie. XD

o_O You aren't serious, right?

I don't know which one I vote for. I really like both of them. I haven't read any of the books, but I've seen many of the Star Trek shows and a few of the movies. I've seen all of the Star Wars movies. I love the original three Star Wars movies (episodes four, five and six), but the two recent ones I despise. I hate Jake Lloyd and I hate Christian what's-his-name. Horrible actors. It's nice to see the updated special effects, though I can't say the effects Lucas used before were absolutely horrible considering the time and budget...Ah, I have yet to vote. I think I'll go for Star Wars. I've always been more into it.

The cheesy acting and Lucas's over use of computer animation was the movies downfal for me atleast, some scenes the background and everything else were in complete 3d, which gave it this wierd fake look.

This is really a hard one, If you took away episode one I'd say Star Wars definately, but Star Trek has voyager and the Borg...

Star Wars. George Lucas seems unable to make amazing movies anymore, but the books continue the storyline for about 25 years.

I never was into Star Trek, so I'd have to say the orginial three Star Wars. The new ones can be summed up in one word: awful.

Don't be afraid to see the truth, even if no one wants you to. Be yourself and not a fool. Don't ever be afraid to speak your mind and listen to criticism. Dissent is keeps our country progressive and willingness to challenge yourself is what keeps yourself ever evolving.

I prefer Star Wars over Star Trek. I just find it more interesting.

Indeed. It's amazing how Lucas had a larger budget (I think...) and a better availability of special effects...yet somehow managed not to outdo the other three, as I would assume would be the intention.
