Christina Aguilera

• After taking a much needed hiatus, Christina Aguilera spent time working on her next album entitled "Stripped". The album itself took over 18 months to produce however Christina was very happy with the final result. She had this to say about what this album meant to her, "This music is who I am," she confidently asserts. "You can take it or leave it, but I’m not going to change, not for anyone." In the end, she says, it’s a tribute to the millions of worldwide fans who have made her a household name. "Fans grow up, too," she smiles. "We’re all reaching out for something more real and if we really want it, we’re going to find it. This album is for anyone who really wants it." Soon after, "Stripped" went to sell four million copies alone in the US and was certified double platinum (Quadruple platinum in Australia).
• Christina Aguilera's next album is near completion and is said to be a retro jazz/soul/blues album.
• Her singles include "The Voice Within", "Dirrty" and "Beautiful".

Mariah Carey

• Mariah Carey's singing career was off to a high start with her first nine albums reaching 3x Platinum (The majority of those nine albums went over the 3x Platinum mark) and her debut album sold a whopping 9x Platinum. However, Mariah soon hit a 5 year slump as she released her album "Glitter" along with a corresponding movie named "Glitter". The album went Platinum and was heavily criticised. Her next albums, "Greatest Hits", "Charmbracelet" and "The Remixes" managed to go Platinum ("The Remixes" still uncertified), this caused Mariah to go into an emotion breakdown and in result, she decided to stay out of the public eye for a while. In 2005, Mariah Carey released "The Emancipation of Mimi" and it instantly went 3x Platinum, this was her first album with singles which stayed at the number one spot on the Billboard chart for over two months.
• Mariah Carey was voted as having the "Greatest Voice" in the year 2003 beating out Whitney Houston (#3), Christina Aguilera (#5) and Céline Dion (#9). She is said to be one of the most talented musicians in the industry today.
• Her singles include "It's Like That", "We Belong Together", and "Shake It Off".

Mariah Carey, I just love the song "Hero". They played it in graduation for us, and I cried. Omg.

EDIT: I just remembered they played "I turn to you" (Chsistina Aguilera... I THINK) on Graduation, too. Omg, I cried for that too!

I love the song We Belong Together, so Mariah Carey.

Christina Aguilera! Her voice is better, and I honestly don't understand what's so great about Marish Carey, her music bores me.

I used to loveeee Mariah Carey's style. But I haven't liked it since she started doing R/B and hip-hop type songs. I gotta say, she has a good voice. But Christina's is better.

I hate Mariah Carey. The only thing she's good for is for making fun of.

I'm not a fan of either as well, but Mariah's voice could never have the power Christina's does.
