The last thread I found on this was locked, and I didn't see another one, so... if I'm wrong, shoot me. :D

Anyway, who saw the first episode of season three? I loved it... got a bit teary eyed at the end. :P

I really liked it. I loved how Wilson pointed out that House is just lucky and being House doesn't make him right (even though he usually is) and it made me so sad that everyone was being so mean to House, even though he was being himself..just not limping. Just because his leg was better, doesn't mean that he's suddenly crazier or more reckless. They're just choosing to makea bigger deal right now.

And I don't like Cameron's hair. And I love Chase so much.

Excellent premiere in my opinion, though reactions I've read have been mixed. And I can understand why, cause I guess there's a factor of suspension of belief here:

1/ House doesn't limp and can run 8 miles, even without a chunk of his leg muscle?
2/ The wheelchair patient can get up, when he hasn't moved his muscles for 8 years?
3/ Why would Cuddy say no to a shot of cortisol, when she hasn't said no to anything House has done in the past that involves no risk?
4/ Wilson became really annoying- lecturing House when he didn't do anything particularly wrong? Maybe a change in attitude...

I still thoroughly enjoyed the episode and loved the new side of House they're showing. I can slightly understand #2- atrophy of the muscles might still allow for minimal movement, and the wheelchair guy did fall into his wife's arms and not walk- but I hope the other three issues are addressed in a future episode.

Because he needed to be told no. He was treating the patient like a lab rat, and it needed to stop.

I didn't know that House had a chunk of his leg muscle gone. I had thought they had used a certain type of medicine that affected how his muscles reacted in his leg.

I was defiantly hating how they all thought House was a nut job when he kept suggesting all of these things that might help the guy. Seriously, has House ever been wrong? Maybe once. So why is everyone so skeptical that by suggesting something that could save this families mental stability would be wrong. Sure, there was no medical reason, but has he had one other times?

I enjoyed the show though, I felt slightly deprived from the lack of Dr. Chase over the summer, and refused to sit down and watch two hours of House every tuesday.

That was because he was shot in Vietnam.

It was awesome. :D A little strange, but awesome.

Then why would she have allowed the first tests to be taken, which were all much more dangerous? She basically said no to a harmless suggestion, but yes to all the risky ones? I understand the need to tell House "no" sometimes, but it seems that she did it at the wrong time.

I guess it's all subjective, depending on how you think about it... :S

Back at the end of season 1 during the flashback ("Three Stories"), House wanted them to do a dangerous procedure that would either make him die or cause full recovery of his leg. To dull the pain, he asked for a chemically-induced coma. While in the coma, Stacy had the rights to decide the next procedure for him, so she asked for the middle-ground one, which involved removing some of the muscle.

Three Stories was an Excellent episode. Somehow they managed to get Carmen Electra as herself in there. :P

Anyways, thank you soooooooo much Bangel, for bring this up. I was the last poster to the last topic and couldn't have bumped it up in any way. :(

I love Wilson, you'd never know it, but he is probably the most screwed up character in the show (Next to House). But he expresses them in such subtle ways.

Also, I've heard that House is getting a new "arch-nemisis" by about the 5th or 6th episode in this season. I think it's a good idea, it's time they introduce a new character now that Stacy's gone.

Vietnam?!

Huh?!

I haven't seen the second season, it was on a channel I don't have. So I'll have to wait for the DVD box set, like I did with Season One.

Feel free to explain/spoil it at great length though, I don't care. I'm just in love with Hugh Laurie and enjoy shouting at Dr Cameron for wearing waistcoats all the time.

It's known at House fought in a war...or so I think. I thought it was in Vietnam.
And SIW's probably more right then me. I've only seen a couple episodes of the first season.

My recollection of the show has nothing on wars or Vietnam. O_o House had an infarction, WIS is right.

Haha. I figured if SIW-SIW said so, it was probably right.
I always thought he was a Vietnam vet.

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

Yeah! See, I thought that might have been a season 2 revelation, but the leg thing was just the infarction, as I thought.

So...spoilers?

Season 2 was on five, round about the same time as Grey's Anatomy and Suburban Shootout.

The worst part is that us Brits will have to wait about 6-7 months before we get Season 3.

Set by the WIS, the ORIGINAL House Stalker!

When I see his posts, I fill with righteous rage. :D
