William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet.
(the 1996 one directed by Baz Luhrmann and staring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes)
Oh how I love it. I have Volume 2 of the soundtrack, which is basically just the score of the movie, with importantant quotes and sound effects added in.
Though I don't recommend listening to the entire thing in bed while trying to fall asleep. The next to last track is the Death Scene. A very quiet track, consisting of slow music and a bit of Italian opera. And then... toward the very end of it, after the singing has stopped, it's nearly dead silent, and then Juliet picks up the gun...
If you have headphones on, it's really bed, but even if you don't, that gunshot is LOUD and it comes out of nowhere. No many how many times you listen to it, and even though you know it's coming, it will still make you jump.
When I first bought the soundtrack recently, I hadn't listened to it in years. I totally forgot about the gunshot, and I was half asleep in bed playing it with my headphones on.
It scared me. Badly. @_@

My favorite is DEFINITELY the Bravheart sountrack.

Followed by the Two Towers soundtrack, with FOTR and ROTK probably at a tie.

The only Harry Potter soundtrack I like is POA... COS was almost an exact copt of PS/SS, which wasn't all that great anyway (although good).

Dragonheart is also cool... the first one, mind.

Also, anything by... uh, that one dude who did Gettysburg and Glory and I think the Beethoven movies is good. Mebbe he did Dragonheart too.

And don't forget the almighty Star Wars!

And Spider-man soundtracks... Especially the second. I'd never thought I'd say this about a song which alone could count as pop, but "Vindicated" is really cool.

Oh yes, and Pirates of the Carribean,
Indiana Jones,
and Jurrassic Park as mentioned before.

Lord of the Rings is great and all, but for me it has to be Star Wars. The original score is almost flawless, and who could forget the opening score? I was also a huge fan of the 'Across the Stars' theme for Episode II, which was played in the romance scenes. It had a soft tone to it, but it was still dark, signifying the life of Anakin. /endgeektalk

The X-Files "Fight the Future" movie has a really awesome score... I listen to it on occasion.
