I was assigned to do a presentation for Ash Wednesday at my high school and I need to find songs which represent "searching" or "willingness to change".

So far I've found one,

"Breakaway" - Kelly Clarkson

Other than that, I'm stuck. Does anyone know any songs which fit in either of those categories?

Half Jack by The Dresden Dolls is about breaking away from the part of you that's holding you back...and other things. It's very metaphorical. And amazing sounding.

Hm, I see. But from what I read, it's apparently about her father but I can see what you're saying.

Plus, I can't really hear the song and I mean, this is going to be played in an assembly and I don't think people will listen if the song is really low. So, I'm not going to take this song but I do appreciate you helping me.



That's a very nice song (Not only lyrics and the song itself) but it's just so inspirational. But, I'm not sure if it's going to fit in those themes. I'll ask tomorrow and I have the song (I downloaded it) so you don't have to send it to me (Thanks for offering!).
