Well. They're still going on Tv now, but I've just been watching the EMA's. How strange they are (not that their strangeness differs much from the VMAs and whatnot).

Firstly, the presenter/host, Xhibit.
Erm. Yeah. Very strange soul. I've never seen him on Pimp my Ride, but it seems to me that the man lacks any notable charisma whatsoever. Making the lame lines he has to read er...well, if he had some sort of personality he could make them funny. Erp.

The nominations have been winding me up greatly. What was that best Alternative all about?
Bjork, I'll give you. Franz Ferdinand I'll give them at a push, after all, they are European. But The Hives? MUSE?
And couldn't they pick their presenters a bit better? Amy Lee doing best Alternative? Erm, why? A member of one of the least Alternative bands of late...woohoo . Oh, and she looked SO arrogant. Grr.

Best Rock as well. WHATD?! Good Charlotte? Why weren't Muse and The Hives in there? Oh, it's mad. Mad mad mad.

Erm, Outkast got Best Video for Hey Ya. Wasn't Hey Ya in 2003?

Ah, and Gwen Stafani was crap.

However, Ozzy Osbourne was once again a complete genius with hair like me.

I watched it a week ago and it was alright. Nothing special. I was happy Alicia Keys won an award.



I don't think she acted arrogantly. She congratulated each member of Muse who came up and said she loved their music or something of the sort. How can you look arrogant anyways?

Before she announced the award anyway. No offense Ammer, but you're somewhat (incredibly) biased whereas I tend towards indifference towards Amy Lee in general. Decent singing voice, annoying presenting awards.

No offence taken. I know I am biased towards Amy Lee (Shocking.). I saw her come on stage and present the award, she had a smile on. Didn't see how that was arrogant. But whatever.

And I look forward to seeing that picture Igg.

I actually was flipping through when I noticed these on. It was right at the part with Amy Lee, and although I am a fan of the band, she DID have an undescribable arrogance-sort of look . . .

Good Charlotte cannot be described as rock btw.

Anyway, what IS alternative?! Is it the Americans version of Indie or what?

I personally found the show to be rather...not-European. If I had not been watching from the beginning, and if the name of the show had been removed all along, I would've thought it was some sort of American awards show.

Xzibit is the worst host. It seemed to me that usher and xzibit didn't like each other. And Andre 3000(outkast) looked all sad and stuff when he won the Song of the Year for "Hey Ya". He was all like "i hope you don't get sick of us...*insert sad face*".

Gwen Stefani wasn't crap. She was good.

Franz Ferdinand...um i don't like Take Me Out at all because all they do is repeat the Chorus and the first verse and some other part over and over again.

Its on the Music Channel here now, I'd swear it was a R&B thing.

I watched the crowd listening to the hobos rap on stage and they looked pretty bored...

I find Amy Lee rather arrogant anyway. *shrug* Still love her all the same though.

I was surprised when Muse won Best Alternative. And Xhibit was a weird host, I agree. He cracked jokes and he didn't get much of a laugh .

But I liked the Usher/Alicia Keys and the Franz Ferdinand performances. Usher and Alicia Keys cause they were so cute together and Franz Ferdinand cause I love the song he did and cause he actually sounded like his song (unlike Gwen Stefani..I liked the performance but I hate how she sung it)

I'm just not funny, am I? But remember kids, FF are a band, not just Alex Kapranos. I feel sorry for Nick, Bob and Paul, they get forgotten about.

Alex Kapranos is rather tasty.

Although...theeeee.....other guitarist is too. Rawr.

He's one of those men who really suit eyeliner. He's rather feminine I find, but in a good way, like Brian Molko from Placebo. If you know what I mean, anyway. :/ *thumbs up* Anyway, yeah, he rocks.

I just feel sorry for all of them.
