Hmm....not in any particular order:

From Under the Cork Tree, Fall Out Boy (ahhh don't kill me...I don't even LIKE Dance, Dance or Sugar We're Goin' Down....the other songs are MUCH better)
Hotel Paper, Michelle Branch (I've listened to this maybe 100 times)
and then the Rent soundtrack (from the movie...I like their voices better) is totally amazing.

There, three...

This is hard. It always changes once I find something new (I'm pretty sure it'll change this month), but...yeah.

Top 3 is in no particular order.

Give Up - The Postal Service
The Lemon of Pink - The Books
Amelie OST

Honorable mentions too. Just for the heck of it. :D

Speak for Yourself - Imogen Heap
The Dresden Dolls - The Dresden Dolls
Medulla - Bjork
Modest Mouse - The Moon and Antarctica (this'll probably be in my top 3 once I listen to it more.)
Homogenic - Bjork

Meep. Too difficult. These have stood the test of time for me, though:

1. Radiohead - OK Computer (one of my first CDs)
2. Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
3. Arkana - Fresh Meat (I love these guys. Though they're not that well known for some reason, people usually recognise "The Future's Overrated")
4. Ben Lee - Breathing Tornados (a pivotal teen-years CD for me)

Edit: Ooh! I just found an Arkana film-clip on Youtube. Nice. If you like electro-fun stuff (think Daft Punk, maybe?), I'd recommend them.

Constantly on my ipod are also: Coldplay, Muse, Jimmy Eat World... and more recently Feeder, Evermore and Eskimo Joe.

Wow, look at all these different genres we're spanning :D I'm impressed with everyone else's range of tastes.

The others are very good! Sigur Ros' crazy made-up language was weird at first, but grew on me.

Newsom's very polarised, but I can't hide my disgust at you not liking her. I try to respect you more than that. What with that and the ondness of solo Morrissey, it's getting kinda hard..

I've only recently started getting albums but would probably be:

1) Futuresex / Lovesounds - JT
2) Costello Music - The Fratellis
3) Happy Feet Soundtrack

Any other album I have acquired has been kinda rubbish.

I liked Milk fine, just not Ys. The lyrics are really well written and her harp playing is good, they're JUST. TOO. LONG!

I don't tend to like entire albums. Actually, I never do; the only one I've entirely liked so far is:

The Fratellis- Costello Music

ETA: okay, so going through my iTunes library, I must say I also really like

The New Pornographers- Twin Cinema

and, uh. yeah.

Well, I am going to list my favorite "current" albums. Because I would have to say early Floyd, Cream, and Zeppelin as my favorites, if I were pressed to pick my absolute all time favorites.

The album that is getting the most play time on my computer and car CD player right now is Kill Hannah's Until There's Nothing Left of Us. I love listening to whole albums. When done right, one song just flows right into the next and, by listening to each song, in sequence, you uncover the telling of a story. And this album is no exception. I know that Kill Hannah is local (Chicago) but they are really starting to make a name for themselves in both the US and Europe. If you haven't checked out this band yet, you should. The lead singer's voice is unique.

Oh, and Pearl Jam's Avocado album. Great stuff as well.
