He's a genius.

He just needs to hurry up and die so everyone will think so.

Paul McCartney was before my time and I'm not usually for people before my time so..I didn't watch the halftime :P. Just the last song where they had the whole audience since Hey Jude and held up the signs in the audience that spelt out Na Na Na or w/e.

*shrugs* I've never been a fan of Super Bowl halftime music performaces to be completely honest with you. I guess it's because I'm not really a big fan of what the NFL chooses each year.

As for McCartney's performance though, it wasn't too bad. I actually enjoyed this year's music more than last year's music.

Paul McCartney is one of the few gods I believe in. The others of course being Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne, Dimebag Darrell, Eric Clapton, Howlin' Wolf, and Angus Young.

EDIT: Forgot Bob Dylan and Jimmy Page. :)

EDIT AGAIN: Forgot Janis Joplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, David Gilmour, and Frank Zappa. :)

EDIT AGAIN: Forgot Muddy Waters, Carlos Santana, Tony Iommi, Dave Grohl, Kurt Cobain, Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Keith Richards, Mic Jagger, Robert Johnson, and Roger Waters. :)

It's ironic really, today I was talking about how much I hated the name Angus.

I was a bit upset. I missed it...you have no idea how much I love the Beatles. But I survived....I can always see Paul another time.

Child, if you're telling me that you hate Paul McCartney and Angus Young, you will leave me no choice to give you a sever musical education. Now Evanescence may be fine, make very good music and be excellent for a momentary distraction from today's wasteland of talent. They are respectable musicians, well rounded as artists, and failry well marketed.

BUT THEY ARE NOT LEGENDS!!!

They are not gurus of music. They are not the inspiration to several generations. They havenot revolutionize music. They are not revolutionizing the music industry. They will never revolutionize an entire culture and society.

Tell you what... if Amy Lee is singing at the superbowl in 40 years we can argue about who's better then. If your grandchildren still listen to Amy Lee 40 years from now, we can argue. If your grandchildren even know who Amy Lee was, we can argue. Until then, I think we can make a decent assumption.
