"For over a decade, Blink-182 has toured, recorded and done non-stop promotion all while trying to balance relationships with family and friends.
To that end, the band has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus to spend some time enjoying the fruits of their labors with their loved ones. While there is no set plan for the band to begin working together again, no one knows what tomorrow may bring."
They shall forever be missed

Hmm, I originally was skeptical, but after watching a TV interview...I guess it's true. Still, quite saddening to hear.

Yarr! Too bad
I really liked their older stuff, especially.

Aww how sad. At least I got to see them a couple of times. They were fun.

I've been a huge fan of them for seven years, so when I heard that news I cried. I support them in whatever they do, but it's still saddening. At least they're doing it to spend more time with their families.

Wow... This is sad... They were my favorite band for a long period of time... Even though ( in my opinion) they music did go a bit downhill with thier latest album, they still stayed a favorite of mine.

I don't think it sank in last night really, but..now I am very gutted. :/

Well we have their music to enjoy and they deserve to spend time with their families. It's nice to see that they are taking time out for themselves.

I'm guessing it wasn't a happy parting of the band, as they pulled out of a tsunami charity show. If it was a happy parting they would have played the show and annouced it publicly.
Wouldn't they?

That's what I thought, when I read that they had done that. As soon as I read "unforseen circumstances" or whatever, I immediately thought that something's happened between them. I don't know, I could be completely wrong, but surely Blink would have told the fans themselves if it was amicable. This is what makes me feel gutted really.

Oh man, that really sucks. Blink 182 was one of my favorite bands
. They were awesome. Hope they get back together sometime in the future.
