Discuss music in any form from rock bands to Britney Spears' latest VMA performance. It's all good!

I noticed there was no topic on reggaetone.
Am I the only one who likes this style of music? It's a bit of hip-hop mixed with a bit of reggae and is Hispanic.

I used to like straight old reggae music back in like the 6th and my first semester of 7th grade then Metal and German techno came over and knocked on my door. But latly I've been hancoring for a dose of it, my mom as this collection CD.

Ooh. They just converted one of the rock stations over here to reggaetone. Probably because there's such a large population of hispanics and stuff.

Because of this board I'm back in love with it. I'm gonna get the CD my mom has of a collection of it, put it in my music library (or on the computer in other words), burn it, and put it in my sterieo and make it play as my alarm (my sterio has alarm clock capabilities).

Lol, the first I heard of it was yesterday, when my newspaper did a big article about it. Apparently it's exploding in popularity, especially in metropolitan areas.

From what I am aware of, it hasn't appeared in this country yet. :/ Meh, I doubt I'd like it anyway.

Reggae should stay where it is, and should not be fooling around with other musics late at night. I hate it when two genres mix, especially acid jazz, that thing was horrible.
Somewhere, beyond time and space, Bob Marley is crying.

Reggaetone isnt really like reggae no instruments are played its mostly a bunch of synthesizers and voice changer things
Its like Techno music but... its sucks so much more.

I've never heard of reggaetone either. Huh...Then again, I don't really listen to radio much or watch music TV. I've obviously heard of reggae, but not this crazy techno/synthesizer/reggae. O___O;;

I have never heard of reggaetone. I love reggae, but I don't think I have ever heard a song in that genre. Can you name any popular songs I can download and listen too?
