True Faith by New Order.

Fabulous, demented french surrealism. Two blokes slapping each other to the beat of the drum.

(Great live, too).

Most recent?

I would say I enjoy Ben Moody's video "Everything Burns" featuring Anastacia. The comic book transition is pretty nifty.

That's the one with the people in big puffy costumes jumping up and down isn't it? If so, great vid - haven't seen it in ages though.

Some favourites of mine:

Dire Straits - Money For Nothing. (Groundbreaking computer-generated video)
A-ha - Take On Me
Junior Senior - Move Your Feet
Blur - Good Song, Coffee and TV (that poor little milk carton!)
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc, 19-2000, Clint Eastwood (yes I like clever animated videos)
Fatboy Slim - Weapon Of Choice (Christopher Walken is genius in this)
Fatboy Slim - Right Here, Right Now
Daft Punk - Around The World

Yeah, it is. It's utterly demented.

Thing is, New Order didn't like making videos. So they would pay people to make their videos and not appear in them. However, MTV (and such) wouldn't show the videos if they didn't feature the band, so their videos had to be intercut with clips of the band's live shows.

Um...

Dresden Dolls - Coin Operated Boy
Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood

Not very familiar with videos.

I'm quite fond of the Live Out Loud video by Steven Curtis Chapman.. but, you know, I could be biased. :P

I am in love with most any of The White Stripes' videos, they're so bizarre but extremely cool. Fell In Love With A Girl and The Hardest Button to Button are probably my favorites of theirs.

I also enjoy Coldplay's video for Yellow - I think it's cool how he's like walking in slow motion, but somehow his mouth isn't.. I dunno. I liked it. But I like their video for Trouble best. It's just really neat.

Visually, Muse's Sing for Absolution blows me away. I don't really get the story behind it or how it ties in with the song, but it's total eye candy.

Hm, I also love Eisley's videos for Telescope Eyes and Marvelous Things. They're both really quirky. I like quirky.

I like the new Sum 41 video for "some say" with it's very good blending of the backwards-ness and forwards-ness
