Evanescence (Elektra Soundtrack/Wal-Mart sued for ABH DVD)

Mon Jul 05, 2004 8:40 pm

That's right, Evanescence will featured on the Elektra soundtrack. This movie is a spin-off of DareDevil which coincidentally has the two most popular singles of Evanescence to be released (BMTL and MI). The song which appears on the soundtrack of Elektra will be called "Breathe No More". You can listen to a preview of the song here. I have this version and I believe this is the original version of BNM. It works perfectly for the movie.

---

Yes, Wal-Mart was sued for the "Anywhere But Home" DVD for having a swear word in the cover song "Thoughtless" by Korn which was performed by Evanescence. For more information, click here.

---

Amy Lee was on CNN monday night! To watch what happened click here.

It loaded in Windows Media Player for me and it works. No viruses detected.

---

"Missing" will NOT be the new single for Evanescence because Amy Lee said they're still writing for the follow-up for Fallen and "Missing" is simply released on the DVD because it never made it unto Fallen.

---

Amy Lee and others are currently writing music/songs for their upcoming album (No Name Yet). It apparently is going towards a spooky direction as Amy Lee said after watching Van Helsing. That means more songs near 'Haunted' and 'My Tourniquet'. It's more 'darker' than Fallen, which I am excited about.

What do you guys think of the recent news? Predictions of any sort?

I just hope that their new album will include "Farther Away," which is currently only available on the Japanese version of their first album (it's a bonus track on there)

Ammer, when aren't you excited about Evanescence? :P

I'll be purchasing this CD as well, Im very interested in which direction the band takes this new CD and just how dark it becomes.

While they're at it, they should release some of the older material (such as Origin and the demos -- some good stuff on both in my opinion)

A hint of what might be on the next album is a song called Alone (according to a site I occasionally look at, it will appear on the Resident Evil 2 Soundtrack)

Hooray for gothiness!!!
It'll probably be out... sometime next year... or the year after... in America...
Then it'll take another half year to get over here...

I love that song as well but I doubt it's going to be on there since it's already included as a bonus track. But if it does than I'll be estatic.

I was thinking they would do that--adding some of their older songs (re-creating them like 'Everybody's Fool' and 'My Immortal') on the album.

Awesome - I can't wait until it's released. I love Evanescence :D

I honestly only liked one Evanescence song (Everybody's Fool) and the collaberation Amy Lee did with Seether (I love Seether). I will, however, get their new album for my sister once it comes out. She really likes Evanescence.

Oh great. Here comes Evanescence returned with their sheer gothic and deeply sentimental lyrics.

I think I'll pass. ;)

Their lyrics are not gothic. If you have listened to them and understood them than you'd know their lyrics are anything but gothic. They might have references to God, Christ etc... but it's not in a negative way.

Actually, not to be the bearer of bad news, but it maybe a while before the next album comes out. I don't know if you people know this, but Mouldy (the guy with the goatee) left Evanescence to work with "Avril Lavigne???"
I wonder how his leaving will affect the next record.

I know, but I can wait the wait.

About the Avril Lavigne working with Ben Moody is true. He said he is not staying there but he helped her alot with her new album.
