Discuss music in any form from rock bands to Britney Spears' latest VMA performance. It's all good!

What do you think would be the 100% Most perfect song. Who would do it? What would it be about? What style would it be? If you can't think of one just name the song that you think is the all time greatest.
I think the best song ever written would be Stairway to Heaven
. The perfect song would be a rock song, preferably by an older rock band and not this conforist puppet rock they make now.

I hate Stairway To Heaven. I don't know why. I like Led Zeppelin, but I just can't stand that song. No idea why.
The perfect song for me.. It would have to have the perfect lyrics. The lyrics would have to totally apply to my life. I'd hate to be able to identify with them. As for the sound itself, rock, something heavy and kind of dark. The song would have to be angry, I like angry music. As for the vocals. I'd prefer male.

I bet you don't like stairway because it is so overrated these days. or it could be because it is so differant from most other led zeplin stuff.
Oh yeah and i also love the who (Who are you? Who, who? Who, who?)

Oh Blink 182 Adam's song or Dammit without a doubt

The most perfect song ever?
It would be You Were There by Clay Aiken and George Huff. My favorites.
But out of real songs.. take You Were There minus George.

Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al"
And maybe Don McLean's "American Pie."

Stairway to Heaven is a great rock song. Couldn't call anything perfect.

That song always manages to pump me up.

Nothing's perfect. A few Eagles, Beatles, and Who songs I have come pretty close, though. In my opinion, that is.

I think the song, "Live like you were dying" by tim mcgraw is pretty powerfull. I mean, it's deep, and touching, and oh so close to home.

There are many songs that I really love..
Like Creep, by Radiohead, which is a bit of a simple song, but it's great.
And.. uh.. Bullet with Butterfly Wings by Smashing Pumpkins. And Tonight, Tonight. And 1979.
The perfect song, for me, would have to have a really nice but not that long intro, because introductions are how I base the song on. Preferably something lively, but not happy.
And the lyrics, well they would have to be rhythmic, something you could sing along to. It could be about anything, really.

Songs which are not too fast and not too slow are perfect for me. If they have a piano or any string instrument in the song, I would love it. The lyrics matter as well, it would have to relate to something in my life or something meaningful. Hence why 'My Immortal' and 'Breathe No More' by Evanescence are my favorite songs.
