Weezer is pretty good (not sure if they're still around though). That's the only 'modern' rock/pop band I reguarly listen to, I'm more into the 'classic rock' bands.

Weezer's still around. If I'm not mistaken, they're working on a new album too.. of course, the rate they've been going, I'm not sure I'll like it all that much. I kinda liked Keep Fishin' (the video was awesome), but.. that's like the only newer song I've liked.

They have 2 of the best music videos ever too for buddy holly and keep fishin

red hot chili peppers and foo fighters, Classic rock and pop sounds so much more better than nowadays music, even rap was better than today (oh, maybe twenty years ago from what i listen to)

My friend Harvey and I were watching X-Factor last night with his mum (well, she was watching it and we came in to watch King of Sports and caught the end) and he said something like 'There's more good music around today than I've ever known before. It's jsut people insist on buying this crap'

Honestly, Smash Mouth. They brought back some of the old classics and made a few new ones at the same time. Most of their songs don't envolve blood, guts, and shooting. I'd pick them :P

anyway, in my opinion, the best bands around today are silverchair, muse, the honorary title, and ours :D
