Back in high school "Bizarre Love Triangle" comes to mind. 
Now I really don't know what would be a good song to describe it...maybe "Let's Hear It For the Boy"? That describes it pretty well for the most part ('cept he sings on key).
But he's not really a mushy romantic type. So we don't really have a mushy song that we share together except for songs that we can mutilate horribly by singing loudly as if we were drunk.
I have a modest example here.
