Don't worry, this isn't a rant.

I didn't know where this is supposed to go, so I'm putting it here.
How many of you have seen Avenue Q? It's an AWESOME musical on Broadway.

AH! The best!!

an absolutely hilarious, brilliant musical with actors and puppets.

positively NOT for people under 18. probably best if you're over 21.

it takes the way the sesame street generation looks at puppets and turns it on its head. a twisting of innocence. i say it's not for the younger crowd not only for the content, but for the way it plays with childhood icons. you have to be a certain age to really sort of get it.

Oh my gosh it's Gary Coleman!

AHHHHH! I just heard the soundtrack for the first time just this weekend! XD

I almost swerved into oncoming traffic I was laughing so hard. Especially during the song about the Internet. :roflol:

Poor Kate monster....I share her pain. :P

Umm...I'm thirteen...I think that's an acceptable age to see/hear it.

To each their own...but I know wouldn't let my kid see/hear it until they were at least 16.

The soundtrack does have a parental advisory on it and it is pretty obvious why.

It depends on the maturity of the person.

As I said...to each their own.

Back on topic, gosh....the more I learn about Kate Monster, the more I love her. I can actually see a little bit of my own personality in her and we both seem to want some of the same things. We just don't want to be lonely.

The soundtrack doesn't really give the musical justice. It's just so cool to watch the puppeteers (whole cast = puppets + thirty-somethings + gary coleman) walk around behind the puppets and sing. The lyrics are really raunchy though, It's the only musical I've ever seen who's soundtrack has a parental advisory sticker on it,

I really want to see it. :P But I'm only 14, but I doubt that it could be worse than what you hear walking through the halls in high school. ;)

The show is... incredible. I saw it a little while ago in October, and it blew my freakin' mind. I was laughing and smiling and on the verge of crying when it was over. I've gotten a few letters back and forth from Stephanie D'Abruzzo and John Tartaglia, both of whom I've written to several times. I've got so much to say about Avenue Q, you have no idea. XD Watch me go.

I LOVE the songs I've heard so far, especially "What do you do with a BA in English?" and "There is life outside your apartment." I want to see it SO bad!
