Yeah, my best friend was a big fan, and was crushed when she found out. Not really my type of music, but I feel for the people who listened to them.

Anyone who understood the "The Matrix Trilogy" is a nihilist.

Hmm...what to believe...meh.

well you have the choice of believing that they have split up when their official website said they haven't, and the drummer of the band says they haven't. :/

Well...okay then. I'm just pretty sure something's happened between them, that's all. I mean..my spider senses are tingling. I umm..mean..oh never mind. :P

Hahah.

I'll miss them. I never liked their music, but it lead a lot of people into punk rock. They were the best at making really poppy punk, really fun music.

And they played, I must say, the GREATEST SHOWS EVER.

Really fun times I've had at those shows.

Ah well.

And yes, they have gone on hiatus, infinite hiatus.

Yes... Very much so

YES!!!!!! A major loss to the punk/sk8ter rock movement.

Long live METAL!!!

What makes you believe that metal is any better than a band that has inspired so many people to start bands, regardless of what they like to label themselves as? Don't say "because they have more talent" because flying around a guitar neck fast does not equal talent.

Come on dudes, looks who likes them, these sk8tor dudes who listen to music that sounds the same. Blink 182 and all these other punk dudes sound so much alike it makes me laugh, and they are just somewhat sapin over the same things girlfriends and parents, and not fighting againest the man that rock was back in the day and why it was created for.

Don't get me started on Green Day....

Also Slipknot is mostly metal, they are all rooted for saving metal in the early 90's because of the upbringing and love of Grunge and Pop. But now there getting lots of publicity and everyone now claimes them in there genere, goths, sk8tors, rockers all claim them. Ha I'd laugh I think if they'd take off the masks.....they'd lose maybe half of there fan base, just an opinion though. It could be Kiss all over again

I wish Metalica would go to there roots of the 80's and Early 90's because there last two albums made me disappointed.

I would advise you to research this topic before you say ANYTHING about it, because you OBVIOUSLY are oblivious to the truth.

My apologies if this sounds ignorant or not making a good argument, but you've made me more than a little angry.

First off, blink 182=NOT PUNK. It's basically pop. And if you REALLY knew the scene, you'd know skaters and punks don't mesh well.

Very angry... let's search for the words... Umm...

A lot of punk bands HATE the fact that people sing about girls, and feelings, fighting the "emo" wave (which is stupid, because emo is a branch of punk).

I really havn't worded this well, but, please realize, you don't know what you're talking about.

And what's this about punk sounds the same? Punk has so many subgenres it's not even funny... Street, crust, pop, surf, folk (also known as psychobilly)...

Bleh... Listen to some real punk rock and get back to me.

Yes... Very much so

Let's solve the problem by having people not labelling themselves. *nods* Nah, that would be too easy, wouldn't it? :/

Yeah that would be awesome but it's the way life and labels are a major thing in this time. Sometimes it helps with organisation(s) but sometimes it's just wrong and mean, but, oh well
