I don't even consider "Holla Back Girl" a song. It's a jumbled up mess of words and nonsensical blabber. I now use that banana phrase (the one that Googles posted) as a way to severely tick off people that bother me. Repeat it over and over again, and viola, anyone within 10 feet will run. Her other song "Rich Girl" wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. But if she stole it, as was mentioned, then she doesn't deserved the credit. She made the biggest mistake of ditching her band. No doubt was actully good this stuff is just... pointless.
Well, she didn't exactly steal it.
I remember about two years ago, there was the exact song on Z100. The lyrics were exactly the same, except the singers were two Jamaican women.
I'm not sure if I'm crazy because I can't find any proof of that song, even though I heard it about 5 times that summer.
And, of course, the other one that I have proof for is "Rich Man". 0.0
Oh you're over-exaggerating.
She didn't steal it, this was the chorus for "If I was a Rich Man" by Fiddler on the Roof,
Quote:
If I were a rich man,
Ya ha deedle deedle, didle didle deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd biddy biddy bum.
If I were a wealthy man.
I wouldn't have to work hard.
Ya ha deedle deedle, didle didle deedle deedle dum.
If I were a biddy biddy rich,
Yidle-diddle-didle-didle man.
And her's was,
Quote:
If I was a rich girl (na na na na)x2
See I'd have all the money in the world,
If I was wealthy girl,
No man can test me,
Impress me,
My cash flow would never ever end,
Cause I'd have all the money in the world,
If I was a wealthy girl
Notice the extreme differences? And the songs aren't even alike. The tune may be the same but she added other lyrics, words, etc... to the song.
You're making it sound as if she took that exact song and re-sang it. Which she didn't.
