Lately I've noticed many artists/bands have begun to release a single one after another too fast. For instance, "Lose My Breath" was debuted by Destiny's Child and two weeks after, "Soldier" was released. "Just Lose It" was debuted by Eminem and a week or two after, "Mosh" was released and I'm sure "My Dad's Gone Crazy" is released now. "What You Waiting For?" has been released by Gwen Stefani and now "Rich Girl" seems to be hitting the radio.

I love these singles but I feel it's a bit too much with artists making too many singles in like a week or two. I love the feeling of waiting for a new single to come out or a new video, now it's like "Oh look another Destiny's Child video,". I know artists/bands like to make a big comeback/entrance but this is getting a little too much.

I hope other bands/artists don't do this and wait around a two months or so until the next single is released.

On the other hand, I hate artists that release one single and try to ride it for their whole career...

I think Mosh was released so quickly because it was political and stuff and because of the voting and stuff he probably wanted to get his message out beforehand..just my theory though ^_^

I agree that Destiny's Child did release their singles kind of close together but I'm not realy bothered by it.

A long time ago, artists released albums and singles very quickly one right after the other. It was especially during the TRL era of the late 90s that artists really slowed down their single releases until their last video retired off of TRL (typically 65 days). This in turn slowed album production. I think the new trend in increased single volume is a throwback thing, and I think it's good for music.

Indeed. Theres nothing wrong with releasing multiple singles as it keeps yourself popular. Release them too far apart and people will ave moved on to a new artist.

Singles here don't get released as quick as that. Well, I don't think they do anyway, I don't pay that much attention. :/ That's just silly really. They should slow down a bit.

It depends. Sometimes, they release one song, and it goes on FOREVER AND EVER, and you get SOO put off, haha, cus they keep playing it, so that doesn't work o.O; but one right after the other isn't always good either, heh.

Eh, it's just some of them. Quite a few are taking their time.

Think OutKast. Their album was released in November '03, and the second single from Speakerboxxx was only recently released (Ghettomusick). John Mayer's now-near-ancient album now has Daughters as a third single, the Black Eyed Peas released four singles within the period of 9 months or so, and a lot more (some more extreme examples that I can't recall at the moment)...

Yeah thats true with outkast but they sota have 5 singles. they put 2 out in the beginning and then put 1 out and then put 2 out at the same time again.

But yeah I've heard eminem's whole album through the radio...it seems like. Same thing with nelly...seems like ive heard all of is songs as well.

Well, for Nelly, his releasings are kinda reasonable- keep in mind that he released two albums, not one combined album like OutKast. Two albums mean approximately 12x2 songs, so it's not likely you'd hear it all.

The spacing of the releases from his album Suit are pretty acceptable- having released only "My Place" featuring Jaheim and "Over and Over" featuring Tim McGraw. The releases for the other album, Sweat are also fine, as that album's not doing nearly as well as Suit. "Flap Your Wings" and "Tilt Ya Head Back" featuring Christina Aguilera haven't done particularly well in terms of comparing to past releases of his, so he's released that "Na-NaNa-Na" featuring Jazze Pha song now.

That is a bit weird. Too bad Evanescence haven't released anything for a while. *poke poke*

Destiny's Child only waited two weeks? I didn't know that.. of course I'd never heard of "Solider" until after I heard "Lose My Breath."

I thought Gwen Stefani didn't wait long enough to release "Rich Girls" since "What Are You Waiting For?" was still being played a lot. I don't really mind that much though. It's not like every artist is doing it, and even those who are doing it only release a couple of singles, not like 5 in one month.
