I do hate to go on but people...
When you talk about a band being good, you say:
[band name] are good.
not
[band name] is good
By Christ.
Linkin' Park are rubbish. Sum 41 are pretty dire unless you're at a party and hyper. Green Day and Blink 182- annoyingly dire. Same with Ash, Bowling for soup...I could go on listing almost everyone mentioned here.
Super Furry Animals have some cracking singles. My Bloody Valentine are pretty good.
I'm not going to make a huge list as I have matters to attend to, and I don't use neopets, but I will say this: Don't complain about the state of music if you aren't willing to get off your backside and try listening to something 'experimental'.

Heh Igg, that grammatical error bugged me too.
I used to think Linkin' Park were total rubbish until I saw them and they were absolutely amazing. I can honestly say that live, they have got to be one of the best bands I've ever seen. Totally awesome.

Well I'm gonna sit here and say they did not have good voices. In fact, they were terrible! All they had was a good PR team behind them and a lot of leopard skin.

Incubus. Definitely Incubus. God I love Incubus. Though... they started in 1991. But they're still going strong.

I like a lot of the old bands, actually. Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins. I can't stand the mainstream rock of today. Though the alternative has some appeal.
You're right... It's either little girls trying to act like their sisters or some rich suburban wannabe traumatized punks that are making the bands these days.

I'm rather insulted by the Keane-dissing! I think it's just a matter of taste. I think they have a very nice sound, myself. But I'm with some of you guys on the Franz Ferdinand, Green Day, and Blink-182.. they're just kinda obnoxious, in my opinion. But, of course, this is coming from Miss Ska-Is-Fun.. so.. ignore me.

I like a few of their songs, but Absolution was the worst album ever.
