Swweeeeeeeeeeeet! :D I have been waiting for their new release since last year when I found out that they were making another albumn. I have been a BSB fan since 1996 and still going strong ^__^ Except from 1996 to 1999 I was a hard core BSB fan. I still have the 500 or so posters of them xD

There was a time I liked BSB a lot, I even had (and still have) a poster of Nick Carter but only now it's not on my wall, just rolled up and put aside somewere.
Now I hate boy bands... But I can live with it. :D

I don't see what the big deal is about "boy bands". I've seen alot of hate for them over the past few years and I just don't get it. I listen to BSB and NSync because they have songs that get me out of a slump. When I feel angry or mad, I listen to groups like Slipknot or Korn. It gets old after while when people say they suck cause they're fake..

Who knows, maybe their new album is actually going to be alright? I was a fan of them when I was small but I stopped listening to them a long time ago. If their song comes on I dont go "Ew!!", it just reminds me of when I was younger and how much fun I had.

I completely agree. The elitism that some people get when talking about popular music is nauseating. Some do it to appear "cool", and who knows about the rest. *rolls eyes*

Ugh, I better not let my mom hear this...she is in love with the Backstreet Boys - always has, and always will be. If the CD is playing, you mustn't talk...or die.

Anyway...

I don't really care about the releasing of this CD. Since I never listen to the radio, I'd probably never hear a song (unless the above happens) by them. Much like I've never heard a single American Idol contestant off the show. (If you want some good, less mainstream radio, try Idobi and Epitonic. :D)

Not trying to be offensive to any of the BSB fans here, but I honestly don't think the album would do too well. Their original fanbase (specifically, the ones that were younger at the time) have moved on to other types of music, most specifically mainstream pop-punk and the like.

I remember the days when the Backstreet Boys were at their prime! I actually was just listening to some of the oldest hits from 6 years ago on the iPod. Their last album was not nearly as good as the first two, and I don't expect this next one to be a huge hit.
The original boy band stars have grown up (some are in their 30s) and probably won't have the same appeal with the 12 year old girls. Those girls that liked them a few years ago have probably grown up as well. I know my preferences have changed a lot since I listened to BSB.

OMg, I was like 7 years old or something when I was listening to them! <3

I hate the Backstreet Boys. I used to like them but that was in like 5th grade. I always liked NSync more. I was never a fanatic about boy bands though they were just something to listen to. And I always thought Justin was hotter than Nick anyways.

*chuckles* I noticed that justin thinks he's too cool now...never did like him T_T

ah, memories...

I used to love them. I had everything BSB. EVERYTHING. >_< I was young, I didn't know any better...

Yeah, Justin does probably think he's too cool- recently, when asked by the other former members of *NSYNC to do another album, he originally agreed...but now reports say he's refused. Looks like *NSYNC's gone out, just BSB left.

I REMEMBER!!!!! lol, I'm 17 and can't wait for them to come back (I also thought Nick Carter's album was pretty good *goes to hide in the corner*) I really don't care if their album does well or not, they have enough money (lol) but at least it's something new for me to listen to.

Only thing that comes to mind with that description is the "Exposed" episode he did with Muchmusic.

Oh god. Shoot me now >.<

Next you'll be telling me all the bands from about 5 years ago that nobody cares about will be coming back.

And thanks Ammer, for putting that song in my head :P
