Yup. It's a fake but the first performance of "Breathe No More" is from the "Anywhere But Home" CD. The CD consists of Evanescence's performance at Zenith, France.

Evanescence are the only band I've ever liked -a lot-. I don't know why though.. I've only liked them for about 5 months though.

I really wanna get Anywhere but Home, but I haven't found the DVD/CD set in Malaysia/China (where I've been for the past few weeks, and will be for the next 2 months). I only saw the VCD/CD set (and I never knew there was one) in Malaysia, but I decided not to get it cause I thought I'd be able to get the DVD/CD set for cheaper. hehe..

Tyrannitar wrote:In China, I just bought a CD by Evanescence. Well, that was random. The special thing was that it wasn't Origin OR Fallen, it's called 'Breathe No More'. Guess which song is on it. :P

Well, it turns out it wasn't a fake. Here's the song list (it's sort of like Origin) :

Breathe No More- Also found on Anywhere But Home
This song is a pretty nice song, soft and flowing. It's live, but I'm not sure where. The CD says the worth 'Zenith', so I guess that might be where, but don't count on it.

Farther Away- Also found on Japenese Bonus Edition of Fallen
This song, except for one word, is pretty hard to actually hear. Not the best song, and is also live.

Zero- Cover of Smashing Pumpkins
This song is pretty much hard rock. The instruments are louder than Amy Lee, so it's also pretty hard to hear the lyrics. It's also live. If you want to see the lyrics on http://www.azlyrics.com, look under Smashing Pumpkins.

Even in Death- Origin
This song is pretty cool. Final live song.

Where Will You Go- Origin
This song's lyrics are pretty cool and you can actually make some of them out. :P

Away From Me- Origin
This song is once again pretty cool... wow, I should really stop saying that. :P

Field of Innocence- Origin
This song is a bit mysterious. It's not my fav. song but it's not exactly my least fav. song either...

Anywhere- Origin
A slow song, which features a male voice. Could it be Ben before he left? I'll never know...

Lies- Origin
This starts out with a solo from Amy Lee singing 'Ohh'. Also features a male voice.

Eternal
Instrumental. In the lyrics booklet it has the words to Exodus...

Origin- Origin
Instrumental. Short. Cool.

Well, that's it. I'd have to say my favourite song is Breathe No More. :D All lyrics can be found on azlyrics.com, under Evanescence. (except for Zero, of course, look under Smashing Pumpkins)

I pretty much like all those songs except Lies and Zero. Not quite sure why I don't like them though..

The male voice in "Anywhere" is David Hodges, who left Evanescence about 2 years ago. I think he also sings in "Away from Me". I read it on a forum dedicated to Evanescence, and the topic was called "the Evanescence encyclopaedia" or "dictionary" or something. I can't find it anymore! >_< Was a really good post though.. from that I also found out that "Hello" is the only Evanescence song which hasn't been performed live, and it was dedicated to Amy Lee's deceased sister, Bonnie Lee, who died when Amy was either 3 or 4.

By the way.. where in China? I'm on holiday in China right now.

Yep I just found the page today but I didn't save it. That's a really useful post there.

Well, it may be a fake but it's nice to listen to. :) It's sort of like Origin. I'll just think of it as that. At least I get to hear a nice version of 'Breathe No More' without that awful beeping, and 'Farther Away'. What album/thing is Zero on? Well, it's not on Fallen or Anywhere but Home, so that's special. :P Origin is a CD pretty hard to get, and now I have almost all the songs except for Imaginary and the two Fallen tracks (Whisper, My Immortal)
I got it for 10 Yuan in Beijing, for the person who asked. Go to the area around China People's Palace Hotel (4 stars) or Cheng An Market and ask someone where the nearest Foot Massage place is. Walk around that area until you find a big blue sign that says 'CDS'. They also have Fallen, Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne (is disgusted; I've seen her CD in soooo many CD stores in China while I was looking for Evanescence/Simple Plan/Hawk Nelson) and more, including DVDs for a high price. But you probably won't find it, so why should I care? *evil* Just kidding. If you're around there, then you should go take a look.

Also, Farther Away is a bonus track on the UK version of the Bring Me Too Life single :) I have it. And it's not live...

Oh, and lies is purty! ^^

Oh. I see. Well, in my CD it is. :)

Everyone Evanescence will be on the Elektra soundtrack! The song "Breathe No More" will be on it. And who knows, it might become a single. If you think about it, both their songs BMTL and MI have become singles ever since they were on DareDevil. Perhaps BNM will become a single.

Just wanted to say that Evanescence rule, and Fallen is my all-time favourite album. I play it constantly, and it drives the girl in the next room completely insane :D

Ooooh! It's weird how sometimes you only buy a CD just because there's one song you like. I want a version that isn't live (that fake Breathe No More CD I bought, Anywhere But Home) but hopefully it'll be available on the internet since a good version without beeping, cheering, clapping, whooting, screaming, talking, shouting, ect. will soon be achievable. :)

Oh yes, bow down to our supreme awesomeness. :P

I just don't understand the appeal of them, though.
I mean, for all of the exposure they're getting in the world, and for what?!
Producing a bunch of cookie cutter lyrics and chord progressions, and topping that all off with a "hardcore" we don't give a smurf attitude.

If your actually 'bashing' them than here is my reply:

Evanescence has wonderful meanings in each of their songs so saying it's 'cookie clutter' is false. Their songs give out a message and a good one at that. And they don't ever act like 'they don't give a smurf about anything'. By saying that you don't know how much the band cares about their fans and music. Their songs don't display that type of attitude at all either. Name one song that does.

Demonish's description sounded more like Linkin' Park to me.

I do think that people think songs have wonderful meanings or whatever because they think that's what they're supposed to think.

Blargh. Didn't that make a lot of sense :P Lots of the word 'think'. Linkin' Park and Evanescence, to me, are like that rubbish teenage poetry written by people who think they're depressed because a lad was mean to them once, put to archetype chord progressions and wearing 'rawk' clothes.

I was talking about Linkin Park. Sorry I didn't specify. >_<

:o How dare you speak that awful rubbish about Link- oh, whatever. I think that a couple of their songs are okay, but I don't really care about the message that songs give to people. Okay, this message is useless, but I do like a couple of LP's songs, but I hate the rest, possibly because I hate rap like you would hate, ummm... well, because of the invention of sarcasm a good comparison would not actually work here, so just know that I hate rap. :)

I recently got into mom's C.D. collection and listened to them (Other than BMTL) for the first time--GOD, I love that music! I even wrote a Jak and Daxter songfic to My Immortal, but that's another story. My Torniquet and My Immortal and Everybody's Fool are three of the best songs ever, if you ask me :)

Sorry for bumping after 10 days, but I just had to comment. I <3 <3 Evanescence and am listening to it right now... I want that DVD! *goes to ask mom for it*
