I was under the impression they were fairly well known.

I have quite the funny story relating to the band. I once said to my friends, "I've never heard 'Desperado.' " Within three seconds, somebody forced an iPod and headphones onto me and started playing it. Now I listen to my parents' LPs of the greatest hits volumes.

A lot of younger people don't know great bands like the Eagles. I know that I didn't actually listen to them on my own until I was in college. I had heard some of their hits on the radio before then, but would never seek out my parents collection of records. They're definitely good, but I have other favorites from that time period.

Not really... if I went up to any person even slightly interested in music in my school (12-14 year olds) and asked them if they knew who the Eagles were, I'd expect that around 95% of them would give me a wide eyed stare for asking such a question.

I like them.
