Just wanted some peoples opinions on the single. It's sort of help for an essay I'm doing, but since it's music I posted it here. Hey, did anyone here about the controversy about Rachel Stevens being in the chorus? She turned up, uninvited, with Will Young and since you had to get an invite to be there, she wasn't supposed to be there, but the organisers were too scared to tell her she wasn't invited so they let her in the chorus.

I really like this version of the song, I love the introduction with Chris Martin. I don't know why, I just think it's a good opener. I don't like Dizzie Rascal's rapping on it, it just seems to be slightly out of place to me, like it's just been dropped in it randomly. Oh and Bono's line doesn't sound as good as it did on the original, but I guess that's the way it goes.

I read about that, that's really funny. She certainly didn't belong there, she is totally devoid of any talent in my opinion, and she usually relies on her good looks to get her places. Grr. Oh I can't believe Busted were on it. Busted?? I mean..what the hell were Bob Geldof/Midge Ure/whoever thinking?

I read about Rachel Stevens on teletext. Silly girl.

I think it's pants.

Well done Igg for not liking it. *thumbs up* I've come to the conclusion I've been brainwashed into liking it. Or that my music tastes have gone down the toilet. I would like to believe the first option.

Let's face it, it's a crap song.

The only reason it never bombed is because of the nature of it- for charity, and all the big stars coming together. And it's not something that you have to cover your ears about, it's just not a very good song.

I don't like it. I don't really see the hype about Band Aid being so great. Yeah I get why they do it and stuff but I'm not really interested/bothered about it. mlap. :/

Well yes. When you're mashed it's hard to sing something with a proper tune.

Same as me, the rapping on it is just awful and it just doesn't sound very good at all!
