*Spoilers* Dragon Ball is now over

Sun Jan 30, 2005 3:31 am

Let us try to remember the good of it all. I am very sad to see my beloved show gone now.

I thought it ended it a long time ago with its GT series but if it is gone then thats too bad. Inside everyone, there is a little spikey golden hair guy just waiting to come out. :D

It does end with the GT series (besides movies). The last episode of GT was shown on Cartoon Network yesterday, though.

I have to say, I said goodbye to Dragon Ball when DBZ ended. That was the last series the creator, Akira Toriyama, had a hand in. GT was created later by the studio to keep the series going for merchandising and such. I've watched bits of GT, but it was just too much for me. It just seemed like they took anything character/plotwise that people liked in the first two series and threw it together and then tried to make the rest "cool". I did watch the ending, though. Once again, I was upset that Goku didn't give a whit about his family. He barely said anything to Chi Chi or the boys. He had a longer and more private goodbye with Piccolo than his own wife.

My favorite will always be Dragon Ball. :) That series was based more on story than fighting. Yes, there was fighting, but the whole thing wasn't about fighting. It also had a humor and light-heartedness that the following series failed to capture. Dragon Ball was just fun. :)

There are rumors going around that Akira will make another sequel with the help of the studio called "Dragonball AF". I doubt it though.

I think they should stop where they're at right now unless they have a majorly good plan in which there might be the slightest chance of making it good. If not, its going to turn out to be another pokemon thingy, and i believe all of us don't want that.

Lost of people hated the GT but for me, I could care less what they say. I heard the AF or whatever was a fan made version of Goku JR. or something. So people are unsure if it will come out.

What would/does AF stand for?

^____^ Oh, how true that is.
I thought it ended a while ago. Huh. A few people in my school are pretty gosh-durned obsessed with that show. Looks like I'll be seeing a DB funeral tomorrow during math class. ;)

I know that I'll never forget. It a shame, but somehow I'll have to find a way to move on without the Dragon Balls.

I personally hated GT. Except at the end. The end is good! And I missed what I think is the super good very very end! When I read the description on a site once I started crying!! And now I wanna cry for missing it!!!
Okay, maybe not that badly, but the end was the only reason I was watching Dragon Ball Grand Turismo (lol, is that a hilar name or what? :P ) (the last episode is the only part of the whole series Toriyama-san had a part in, so I've heard.)

'Course, in my opinion, the series should have ended at the end of the Cell Saga. Then Gohan would never be an uber-geek. And Piccolo would never ever have been used as part of the baka comic relief... >_____<

lol I always thought GT stood for Gotan Trunks. ;)

I loved the episodes in Z where Gohan was in high school. :) Those are some of our favorites. The Buu Saga was a little long-winded, but I loved the high school eps. ;)

I ask again, does anyone know what AF would stand for if they had a Dragon Ball AF?

Most of the things that come to mind are more Engrish and wouldn't make sense.

*shrugs* The only thing I know about the supposed "AF" is that it was a doujinshi (fan based comics) a lot of people took it as fact.

I'm sorry :(

What is Dragonball AF? DragonBall AF is supposedly a new Dragonball series being developed in Japan. However, FUNimation wants fans to know from the official source that Dragonball GT is the last series and neither AF nor V exist. As far as we know, and Toei has confirmed this matter, there are no future plans for any continuance of the Dragonball series beyond GT. But I have heard from multiple people that Fans are making a comic called Dragonball AF and FUNimation or Toei has nothing to do with it. Wheather or not it really exists or ever will, it's still fun to think about, because of this I've compiled several sections for your enjoyment.

Dragonball AF Story Line - In Dragon Ball AF Raditz is back as a Super Saiyan even goes SSJ 3, Freiza and Cooler fuse, Cell absorbs Android 8, Goku goes Super Saiyan level 5 and then 6 also goku learns how to fuse with 3 people. The AF is supposed to stand for either After Future, Alternate Future, or Another Future. To find out info on Dragonball AF in detail click here.

I got that info here http://www.myfavoritegames.com/dbz/DragonBallAF.htm

I did cry at the final show. It was saddening. Now one of the highlights of my Toonami days is over for good. But atleast I still have Kenshin *clings*
