Love Hina

Wed Oct 06, 2004 6:03 am

Does anyone know how many episodes of the anime there are, if there are any movies, and where I can get the anime from?

And also, does anyone know if there are any art books?

Incidentally, I've been watching random episodes (subbed) in streaming video on my WinAmp. I'm watching episode #16 right now.

The series is made up of six discs {24 or so episodes}, two actual movies, and a small one disc OVA called Love Hina Again. I know of at least one artbook. You can buy the discs at Amazon.com among other places. They aren't incredibly difficult to find. You can also rent them. I know that GreenCine has the discs for sure. Netflix may have them as well, but I'm not sure if they have the entire series.

Thanks for the info. :)

So Love Hina Again is just a short OVA thing, and not a second series....

All the video stores around here suck and my favorite one that isn't on the other side of the city closed down last year, or I'd try and order the disks through one of them.

I've got the first volume of the manga put out by Tokyopop, but that's it. (Was going to get volume two, also, but Comic Party 3 was out early, so I got it instead)

*edit* Did some searching, and I found out there are 25 episodes, 3 movies and the Love Hina Again OVA (Only 3 episodes long).

Love Hina Again does follow the time continum by the way.

Apparently you need to read the manga for an ending.

What exactly is the third movie? I've seen the Spring and Christmas movies, but other than Love Hina Again I haven't been able to find out anything about the other one you mention.

Ah, that's what I was thinking. I wonder what someone listed as a third movie, though.. Strange.

Love Hina Again continues the story of Love Hina, but it is incomplete. As Chris mentioned earlier, you NEED to read the manga to see the true ending.

I've never heard of a 3rd movie either. There IS an audio-only Love Hina "episode" of sorts, but I have no idea where that fits into the Love Hina plot timeline.

Yeah, there's only two movies. I put three by accident, and didn't notice.

As far as I know there are 24 episodes is the actual series.

A "25th Episode" focusing on Motoko. I think this is actually an OAV that chronologically fits in among the other OAVs.

Two holiday specials (Christmas and Spring)

Love Hina Again (which is divided into three parts)

The audio ending

And the manga, which has a more definate ending. :)

I never watched any of the anime, i just bought the manga, however i was able to watch a trailer for Love Hina Again on some site, i think it was something like lovehina.com, but that sounds too obvious, i found it on google though, the trailer is hilarious though, i was watching it at the school Library at lunch, i was laughing so hard they almost kicked me out...but seeing the word VIOLENCE pop up every few seconds was too much for me...

If you have one of the more recent versions of WinAmp (4 to current, which is 5.something....5.1, I think?), you can actually watch episodes of Love Hina on one of the Internet TV channels accessible through it.

They're fan subs of the 25 episodes.

Incidentally, I've been reading the mangas put out by Tokyopop. There are 15 volumes, and I've read 1 through 5 so far. (Was going to get 5 and 6 at the same time, but the bookstore was out of 6 when I went a few weeks ago. Had to order a copy of 6 there yesterday, because they still didn't have any copies)

Actually, there are only 14 volumes of the manga. :)

I didn't know that about WinAmp. Are there other anime you can watch or just Love Hina? I've just used it to play stuff. I haven't really fiddled around with it. ;)

Besides Love Hina, you can watch.....Last Exile, Onegai Teacher, Berserk, Chrono Crusade and Naruto.

HOWEVER....I've never been able to get into the channels showing Naruto (I get the server full message even when there are only 5 people watching it), and have only tried the Last Exile channel out of the others.

Incidentally, I got a call from the bookstore tonight, and they got my copy of volume 6 in. Hopefully they'll also have Pita Ten volume 6 on the shelf when I go to pick it up.....if it shipped on time and didn't get pushed back.

Edit:
Well, I'm halfway through the series now. Got book 7 on Monday.

Was going to get book 8, also, but the bookstore was out. So I decided to get Pita Ten 6. The bookstore was out of it, too.

I was tempted to get Case Closed 2, but didn't. I may get it when I go back.
