Before you get too excited, they only showed it briefly..so far. There was a page of panels in vol 11 about how Sakuno became a starter just in time for the girl's city tournament, and then the next page Konomi drew the girls' starter jerseys as an extra. Hopefully he'll do more in future volumes

That's more than she got in the entire 178 episodes of the anime... It's enough for me to get excited over. ^_- I was always so annoyed that she was shown as never improving at all, especially given that her grandmother was the coach and all.
