Although the place I go to....they have yaoi there and it's a toy store. I don't think the woman who sells it knows what it is x)

For Ranma it depends on which publisher you're talking about, and which publisher you prefer. The original publisher was my favorite. They used a very good quality thick paper for the covers and the entire book was larger than other mangas. Unfortunately that made their Ranma mangas very expensive. And while I thought it was worth it, they eventually stopped publishing Ranma around vol 20 I think.
So now I get Ranma by another publisher, and while it's cheaper I still wished that I had the larger panels from before ^^

I have Ranma 1/2 in the beautiful original size and it's all published by Viz. Viz changed to the smaller, cheaper versions to compete with Tokyopop and stopped printing the original size at book 21 with the smaller size starting from 22 on. They also reprinted the previous volumes to match. I much preferred the large volumes, but we had to buy the smaller ones to keep up.
