Is anyone going to watch the 10 hour anime marathon on the Encore Action (Action Network) channel on New Year's Eve/New Year's? I would absolutely love to, but it's not all appropriate for the girls (too violent), so I can't watch it all. :(

Here's the schedule:

December 31st:
10pm -- Ghost in the Shell
11:30pm -- X
January 1st:
1:15am -- Perfect Blue
2:40am -- Blood: The Last Vampire
3:35am -- Vampire Hunter D
5:00am -- Patlabor 2: The Movie
6:50am -- New Dominion Tank Police (Episodes 1-6)

I'm not sure how much I can catch, but I'm going to try as much as I can. Some things we have already, so that's not such a big deal. Unfortunately, I haven't seen X, nor do we have it and that's on during the New Year switch. We can't miss the ball drop, so I am going to have to miss it. :(

I've been meaning to post about this for quite a while. I think TechTV is having an anime marathon as well. I wish Comcast would get it's act together and activate Video On Demand so I could watch the Anime Network on New Year's Eve. >.<

Meh...I don't have that channel. (At least I don't think so anyway) But, due to my new lovely IO digital cable, I do have Anime Network on Demand. ^__^

Oh and Jasujo, is there a way you can tape the anime while watching the ball drop and watch it later?

If you have a DVR you can always switch to the televisions basic cable while the DVR tapes whatever it is set to tape.

Well, my sister just gave us her old VCR because she is moving, so that's good luck. :) I guess we're going to tape the anime in one room and watch the ball drop in the other.

Not as good as watching it the first time, but it'll have to do. ;)

Edit:
I just checked and it doesn't look like TechTV is having an anime marathon, but there is an X-Play marathon later on on New Year's Day.

I wish we could get the Anime Network in this area. Although, then we'd probably never stop watching tv. ;) lol
