Hi all. :) The girls and I were talking about what kind of show we'd like to watch. We decided we want to watch something a bit spooky with ghosts in it. :) Can anyone thing of an anime that's a bit spooky, has ghosts, but is still watchable by children (meaning no sex, swearing, or too much violence)? Of course, it has to be dubbed as well because the girls are going to be watching it. Thank you for any recommendations you can give. The girls and I really apprecitiate it. :)

It's been a while since I've seen it, but Phantom Quest Corp might fit it (it's not overly spooky with ghosts and other monsters [although the second OVA with the hospital is a little more scary], but there's a good mix of humor in it)

.. In between the cover of another perfect wonder where it’s so white as snow //
Running through the field where all my tracks will be concealed and there's nowhere to go...

It's been a while since I've watched it, too. Hmm. I'll have to check it out again. I seem to remember some fan service and one/some of the characters drank a lot, but I'm not sure. After you've watched a lot of anime, they kind of blend together. ;) lol That was a good show, though.

Does anyone else have any suggestions? Maybe a series that's a little longer?

Hm, I rather like Shingetsutan Tsukihime (I think the dub is just called Tsukihime). It's rather short, only 12 episodes, and thus far only one DVD (4 eps) has been dubbed in English. I think the animation is beautiful, but the story is...very slow, even for a short series.
Most of the girls are vampires, and the male protagonist has "the Eyes of DOOM." Not ghosts, but kinda spooky.

Totoro = spooky? ;P I have a Chibi Totoro plush. Aw, I love that movie. *sigh*
My spooky animes are all far too graphic for the girls. I'll keep my eyes open for something they might enjoy, though. ;D

Totoro is good, though, I don't see it as spooky either. o_O

Also robot, in your previous signature, is that Izark?

Wait, I think I've heard about Izumi Sano, too bad, my memorizing skill is below average. :(

I was thinking maybe Silent Mobius. That's not really ghosts, but it does get a bit spooky in parts. Some parts might be a bit too graphic, though. It gets a little violent when they are fighting the Lucifer Hawks and there is that one love scene between Katsumi and Roy. I can't remember how much is shown, or if it's just implied. Gah, poor Roy and Katsumi. :( That really sucked. Image Anyway, I'll have to watch that one again, but I think the girls are just a tad too young for it. That's too bad because it's truly an awesome series. I absolutely love the ending dialogue as well. :)

You'd think there would be more spookish series for younger people. I can think of spooky episodes in series, not not a complete series. Maybe that's because most of the imported anime has been for older viewers. Such a shame.

If anyone has anymore ideas, feel free to pass them along. :)

You could do Vampire Princess Miyu, no sex, not that much violence, and is avaliable dubbed.
