SHHH!!! Can you read? Want to prove it? Meet fellow book worms and discuss the literary brilliance of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Self-explanatory if you read the subject. =P
I just finished reading The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Excellent book. EXCELLENT.
And I'm now not really reading any books, just lots and lots of Harry Potter fanfiction. I'm addicted.

...We have that laying around somewhere. I should read it.
Still on Down Under. Stu said he ordered some books off Amazon for me, so that's good, whenever they happen to get here. =)

Dead Until Dark, by Charlaine Harris (I think). Just one of those things I read instead of watching trashy TV. A good book though.

I finished Down Under last night, and now I really want to go to Australia. Stu did warn me that I would... =P
Stu's ordered a trilogy for me...of course two books have come already...numbers 2 and 3. The first will probably come tomorrow, so I dunno if I'll wait 'til then or find something else. I might go for another Bill Bryson book, I really liked Down Under...

Bill Bryson.
Cassi, have you ever read A Town Like Alice by Nevil Shute?
It's left me with one of my lasting impressions of Australia, about fried eggs and steak..

I have not. ::adds to list of books to look up on Amazon when I can be bothered::

I'm reading all my Harry Potter books over again...for probably the eleventh time. (I'm preparing for the next one to come out!)
At the same time, I'm re-reading "Ring" by Koji Suzuki. In preparation for the Ring 2, which is based on the books. (Psst, books are better!)
Sun Mar 13, 2005 4:21 pm
I am re-reading Storey's Guide to Training Horses, and also Trickster's Choice.
Sun Mar 13, 2005 5:14 pm
The Prodigal by Beverly Lewis which is Book 3 in her Abram's Daughters series.
Sun Mar 13, 2005 6:55 pm
The Fairy World of Arthur Rackham.
Assorted fairy tales illustrated by the great man himself.

Ohh I cried at that! It's such a good book though, almost seems real.
I'm reading "Heavier Than Heaven" by Charles R. Cross at the moment. It's a biography of Kurt Cobain's life. It's incredibly sad and inspirational.

I just finished OotP again, and now I'm rereading The Mediator 6, and I'm just sitting waiting for the next few months until new books come out... *tear**feels sorry for self for owning more teen books than Barnes and Noble, Borders, and the city Library...*

I've finally gotten out the Illiad and the Odyssey.

I just finished reading (on the recommendation of a thread here at PPT) the His Dark Materials books. The books were more than I expected, and even though I'm almost 30 years old and the books were classified as youth fiction, they left me with a lot to think about. To whomever brought these books up, thanks for the recommendation.

Queen of the Universe...don't remember the author. It was on sale for 3 or 4 bucks one time and I started to read it, now I decided to pick it back up again.
