For thouse of you who don't know, its a fantasy series by George R.R. Martin, one of the editors of Wild Cards, and the man behind the Beauty and the Beast T.V series.

Has anyone else heard of them. I'm reading the first book , A Game of Thrones , and its wonderful. I'm amazed on how he can write from all thouse different points of view!

Oh, I absolutely love the series so far. I finished A Game of Thrones about a year ago and was floored by how good it was. I had picked it up from a small bookstore while on vacation since I was looking for a good fantasy novel to read while on the trip. I hadn't heard of it before picking it up, but the description sounded interesting, it was cheap, and it was big enough to last me a while. (Having a short book on vacation = bad.)

The moment I started reading I was hooked. The story is completely engrossing, and the characters are so developed and well-written. All the little details and subplots added in are just icing on the yummy fantasy cake. It's also totally surprising; I think it's one of the only books I've read that made me just sit there with my mouth hanging open in shock. The writing style (each chapter from a different character's view) is done amazingly well and actually keeps it from getting as confusing as the book had the potential of being.

So far I think my favorite characters are Tyrion, Arya, Jon Snow, and Daenerys.

I just started A Clash of Kings a few days ago, and so far it's just as wonderful as the first book. If you're ever at the library or bookstore in the near future, I suggest picking it up.

My mother and I must agree with the characters. But we love them all. Well, my mom likes Jamie. I don't.
Anways, I don't need to get the next to volumes, since my mom has the next two signed, and I'm getting my own soon. *Grins*
