Octavia E. Butler

She's swiftly becoming one of my favorite scifi authors. So far I've only read two of her works: "Blood Child," a very disturbing short story, and Parable of the Sower, a kind of adventure/survival novel set in a chaotic future where the US has deteriorated into anarchy. I highly recommend both. And I plan to read more...

Is anyone else here a Butler fan? Which of her other novels/stories would you recommend?

I read The Parable Of The Sower and The Parable Of The Talents several years ago. I don't remember too much about them, apart from that they were very well written and very powerful. I plan to read them both again sometime soon.

I haven't read anything by Octavia E. Butler but considering I've been on the lookout for some new reading material lately, I decided to go and see what books written by Octavia E. Butler my Library has. She's written quite a number of books (I think there were about 10 different books in my Library alone) and she's written what appears to be a series of sorts; Dawn : Xenogenesis 1, Adulthood Rites : Xenogenesis 2 and Imago : Xenogenesis 3.

I'll probably get around to reading them, I'll tell you what I thought afterwards.
