I picked it up a few days ago....been waiting for it's release forever!

Quote:
Young Tiria Wildlough is an ottermaid touched by the paw of destiny. Her epic adventure takes her on a journey from Redwall Abbey across the Great Western Sea, to the mysterious Green Isle. There she must fulfill an ancient prophecy and gain her inheritance.

Green Isle is home to the otterclans, but they are beset by dangers from Wildcat chieftain Riggu Fellis and his catguard slave masters. Aided by two birds and a platoon of Long Patrol hares, Tiria joins forces with the outlaw leader of the otterclans in a battle that will test all their courage and skill.

In the true tradition of Redwall comes a new saga full of feasts and fighting, riddles and quests, and a heroine you’re not likely to forget as she strives to become the chosen one—the High Rhulain!

I don't own it yet! I'm a disgrace to my fandom! I need the redwall cook book too. I've been dying to make shrimp and hotroot soup for years.
YEARS! i've tried to make my own but it just doesn't seem right.
Woe is me!

Redwall, I remember those days, there good books, top notch animal fiction. But I've moved on, the stories were just too similair, I got up to Pearls of Lutra, they were all good to pretty good, to alright. I can only truly recommend Redwall and Mossflower, they had the best stories out of the whole series.
High Rulian, I dunno, sounds like the same old plot, I just read The Ribbajack and it made me notice that Brian Jacques is a really good writer outsikde of the Redwall series and I really enjoyed that book, but Redwall, I mite give Rakkety Tam a read, but overall I'm kinda done with the series, yeah, I know this was too long.

Redwall for me is a total nostalgia thing. Jacques is a good writer IN the redwall series, but he is stuck on the same plot. And yet, I still love him. He's had a stroke, and a heart attack over the past couple years, so it's pretty amazing that he's still writing at all!
I really liked Castaways of the Flying Dutchman, and I think this weekend i'll pick up The Angels Command (if time allows). Rakkety Tamm was kinda neat. I can't remember. Maybe i'll have to give it a re-read when i've got the chance.

This Redwall sounds interesting. Like Articfox though, some of them are somewhat similar. My first Redwall book was Lord Brocktree and it was quite good. My favourite is still The Legend of Luke though!! It's so... heroic!! =D

The Legend of Luke is my favourite too, though I haven't read them all. Soon I will have though, I'll be buying the entire series. :)

Meh, I finished High Rhulain last night. Jacques should just stop writing Redwall books now and move on to some other series. Talk about overkill! Up to now, they've all at least moved me to some extent. This one was just like "O.O...........O_O.........U_U....." But I'm done ranting now.

Many thanks to .:Requiem:. for the set!

What I want to read about is the times long before Redwall...Jacques has hinted about it, but never written a book about it, at least, i think not
