Mega iPod Mini problem

Thu Apr 14, 2005 3:50 pm

My iPod Mini.........
I was trying to play music trivia, it froze.
So I did what you have to do for reset.
It didn't reset.
And all the buttons got stuck in the process.
How do I fix this?

1) Check your hold switch, can you see the orange background, if so, then move it onto the on position.
2) Can you see the battery power? Is it sufficiently charged?
3) Hold down the Menu & Play/Pause button -OR- if you have a touchpad wheel (like most iPods) hold down the centre button & Menu buttons until you'll the Apple logo appears (a bitten apple) This should take about six seconds. Then after a moment, the menu should appear.

1. I checked, it's white.
2. Yes I can see the battery power, it won't charge or do anything on the computer when frozen.
3. That's how I got all the buttons stuck in the first place.

4) Reinstall your iPod software on your computer.
5) Then try again.
6) Consult Apple.

Err...Get the buttons unstuck by "lightly*" tapping the back untill they click out.

*Tap with slowly increasing power.

Then just leave it and it should soon turn itself off from lack of battery. then plug it back in and see.

However amusing this may seem, trading in an iPod and getting a Zen Micro isn't the best option. Besides, Zen Micro will still have it's own problems.
