I did a search on here for some, and tried trend.com, but it wouldn't do anything once it got done scanning. So now I'm not really sure what to do. Help?

Avg is a good free downloadable virus scanner.

http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ - a free d/l "small" specific a/v scanner on the McAfee site. This does update from time to time and you don't update, you just d/l it again and get rid of the old version. I use it as an add-on.
Try also the main Spybot S&D site:

They might have a link for an a/v scanner. I use Spybot for spyware (along with ad aware and CWShredder).

It's a very good virus scanner, it found a lot of stuff my old virus scanner missed.
