I am also looking for some computer advice. I currently have a computer that I share with hubby. It has Pentium 4, 3.2 Gig GHZ, 1 Gig Ram and a Radeon 9600 Video card, I want to be able to run the Sims 2 and expansions with NO lag. Right now it is very slow, Reg Sims runs like mad but Sims 2 doesn't.
Any help is much appreciated. I have around 3k to spend.

Upgrade your video card -- 6600GTs should be rather cheap by now (can also get one of those shiny 7800GTXs, but that's a different price league).
