Coding Issues

Thu Jun 08, 2006 10:59 pm

Hello everyone! I wasn't completely sure where to put this topic - be it in the general help thread in this forum, Neopets Help, or wherever else, so I just decided to put it here.

Basically, I am making a layout for the guild I am in. Normally I am a halfway decent coder but for some reason, everything is going wrong when I code this one. It's rather simplistic, but things keep getting misaligned, and when I try to fix them something else becomes off.

So basically, I've come to the experts to help. The top of the guild layout is here:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/a ... outTop.jpg

with the corresponding background that allows for tables here:

The left column is for the guild information (council) and the right side is basically just a blog. I'm not asking for someone to code it for me, but to just give me some pointers. I've done the basic image code and then ran the background code, but it's not aligning correctly and I am sure that the two match (I even went into paint and matched them to make sure).

Any help?

Well when I did my guild layout like that (full page) I would divide them into three pieces.

Darn... I tried to find the url where it taught how to do this but it's not working right now..

Well I found an alternative:

sepiroth's full page guild layout tutorial: http://sepiroth.org/petcare/index_petca ... =neo_tut03

It should take you to that tutorial but if not, look on the left side under Neopets Coding and click coding fullpageguild layouts. See if this helps and if not, post again and I'll try to help you figure it out.
