Virtual Memory?!

I keep getting a window on the bottom that says I don't have enough virtual memory. Since I started getting these messages, my computer has been noticeably slower, and I'm even having trouble loading large web pages (and I'm on cable!) What can be done?

That means that you have too many things on your comp running at the same time. It could also mean that you have spyware/adware that's sucking at the memory. I would shut down some of the processes running (on the taskbar), but NOT your firewall/antivirus. Then run spyware scan and an antivirus scan.

How much RAM do you have? I used to get this error whilst playing games but RAM helped out a lot

What version/service pack of Windows are you running?
XP SP2 is:
Right-click on My Computer (To get to System Properties) -> Advanced Tab -> Settings Button (Under Performance) -> Advanced Tab -> Change Button (under Virtual Memory)
Click on your hard drive (or each hard drive in turn if you have more than one). Most of the time, System Managed Size works, however there's some sites out there that will give you recommendations depending on what you use your computer for.
