Okay, so my computer got a virus, and I was like, k, I don't really care anymore, I don't feel like working to take the virus away, and I'll just reinstall Windows.
So I did so. And then I went to transfer my music library from my iPod to my computer, since all my music files got deleted from reinstalling Windows.
Last time I reinstalled Windows, this worked. I just copied my music from my iPod (I think it's iPod > some hidden Device folder > Music > list of folders that contain the music). So I try to copy them over and it says, "Cannot copy *name of file*: the parameter is incorrect."
Now, I would normally think that the files just had inappropriate characters... but it's not that. All the files are named with four random letters (i.e. "ASFT.mp3"). I don't understand what I should do. I did not run into this problem before... and I don't want to lose my library.

Oh my god, Head On...... now I have a headache thinking about those commercials....
Anyway.
I had always thought that any music file on your iPod but NOT on your computer would get deleted from your iPod completely. Do you have some special program or add-on installed to prevent it from doing that?
